Hi. I just discovered your videos and like the ones I've seen so far. I tried the nose ring, but had a difficult seeing the directions in which to bend the wire. The outcome was a bit rough, but I will keep practicing 😊.
I absolutely love this! I just started making earrings and I don’t like the premade head pins. This adds so much more personality to the jewelry as well! Thank you!
I like this style of earrings, they can be casual or dressy, depending on one's bead selection. One tool is missing from the list: a FILE, like a #2 jeweler's needle file (or an emery board, if one doesn't have a jeweler's file yet). Flush cutters do reduce the amount of filing needed when making wire jewelry, but they don't eliminate the need to file altogether. It is especially important to file the end that goes into the ear, to make it extra smooth to prevent micro-cuts in the ear (or the piercing wherever it might be); these cuts could lead to irritation and/or infection. After filling, I use #0000 extra fine steel wool, found in the paint department of most home improvement stores. #0000 extra fine steel wool is much different than steel wool soap pads used to scrub pots & pans; the extra fine steel wool will not scratch wire; it will further smooth the wire after filing it. Filing the cut ends of wire makes what is a nice handmade item into a lovely, professionally finished piece of art. These are lovely earrings, with great versatility.
