Everything about this performance was PERFECTION! Both the short program and this one! Robbed is an understatement! Robbed because he is who he is on and off the ice! Always our gold medalist.
I'm being totally biased here but he's the best 🥹 Evan's was totally deserving, I tried to make sense of people saying Plushenko was robbed, forgot how many times I watched those two performances, but couldn't. It's a sports competition, Evan did better (and I personally prefer Evan's style of choreography over Plushenko's which is off the point). And in that sense Johnny's program was less technically complex for sure. But if we bring into conversation things like Plushenko's showmanship and how after years he's the one people remembers (heh), I'm just looking at the views and likes in these performance videos 🥲 No hate, they all are amazing athletes, but Johnny is also visualisation of music on ice 🥹🦋
He says he already told you and Jimmy says yeah but we don't believe you people laugh but I think it's a bit insulting implies he's a liar. Nearly every interview is like that he's young nice looking rockstar likes fashion from "sin city" and people just won't accept that he's not as wild as they expect him to be moved away from home at 16 because he was mature not because he was a juvenile delinquent too. All he can be is himself . I don't really like seeing him degraded though just for being talented and fairly wholesome too. Narcissists projecting a false image about him.
I don't know when I have been this excited. It's because for one reason. a New Torch for the Coliseum with the Countdown Clock set to start at the closing of Paris.
Johnny we could talk Figure Skating for hours. Russia is coming this summer. Joe should invite Thomas, Vladimir, Israel, Canada, Ukraine, Belarus and a few others. Let them talk this out. They have clean athletes and I know they do.
Just incredibly beautiful! Johnny is the most artistically gifted figure skater. I love watching his performances and am just totally blown away by his skill on the ice.
Qué bonito verlos, son muchas horas de ensayos,y muchas correcciones, igualmente era y es un placer verlos a Tessa y Scott en la pista, fueron maravillosos..❤❤
The Skater that won the Gold in Men's from South Korea was awesome. Sorry Johnny - I don't care much about The Professionals. You know - there are people living in Boxes in Atlanta and so forth -
Sorry to hear about his highway robbery, it’s about his legacy and not his rewards though. Through everyone’s comments I can tell his legacy is still that of the best. I told my grandma about having watched Yuzuru Hanyu earlier today. She recommended me Johnny Weir, and introduced him as the “flamboyantly gay one” which is fitting. This is the second figure skater I’ve seen and I can already tell he’s the best, as people say. Whether he won or not, he wins in all of your books and in two people, myself and my grandmas book, nearly 50 years apart. It’s clear his multigenerational stature is unbroken.
Beautiful as always. I so love his artistry. It makes me sad that there's so much focus on jumps now that the artistry has practically fallen away. Sometimes I think he was born in the wrong time period. Earlier in the sport, they truly appreciated the artistry and creative/complicated moves. I love watching his performances.
