We were both wrong about DUNE. Konami didn’t hit Arise-Heart so the Synchro decks didn’t make the splash like in the OCG. The mega tins killed the only value in Crimson Dragon and Rev Synchron. The good news is that I went ahead and bought the QCRs for cheap.
If you do think Sneak Peak weekend is going to feed the fire on Rage's Price, use code WHATSGOOD5 for 5% off & to support the channel @ www.gamerschoicepreorder.com/collections/rage-of-the-abyss?sort_by=price-descending BUT - Don't shop with fomo. Use that noggin.
One of my town's LCS is dropping Yu-Gi-Oh because they're stuck with unmoving stock. Real rough Though yeah, having multiple card stores holding YGO would do that but still
Hat format is going insane with edison, I feel like we might enter a new era where players instead of saying they will "quit" or take a break they will instead go to older formats. I have seen people not come back to modern ot as much because older format is pulling them back in being more fun. Its way YGO can survive of course, but I feel like we are starting to see ripple[e effects this year.
Crazy on Magia adjacent Blue Eyes. However, I really hate to be that guy, but I have my doubts about the Blue-Eyes deck coming to the states. I really think they're going to break it up into different sets like they did the infernobobles and the dinosaur support. I really hope I'm wrong but I don't trust Konami at this point.
Guardian Eatos is still my favorite card to date. Not just for collecting but for playing as well. Shame the guardian archetype is complete buns as a whole.
NEVER do TCG Player presales. I got my Gamer’s Choice copy of Pride & Soul at under $60 on the first presale wave Also DO NOT BUY EMETH CR UNLESS IT IS EU PRINT. The NA print has awful foiling and absolutely no pattern, it’s extremely bad looking
I got a case of ROTA just because I knew I’d want/need the cards inside 😂 only cards I don’t play are the Atlanteans and my best friend loves that deck. Will be a fun case to open.
Nice to see ghost rares going up. Hope we get more down the road, one of my favorite rarities. Also Guardian Earls used to be a tech of mine in Dark Worlds hahaha. Love that card. Hope we get that and Magical Android reprinted in Bonanza. Really hope to see some Six Sam and Dark World reprints in Bonanza as well. And maybe more Visas Lore cards as well, like Fenrir, Lightheart, and Visas himself.
I like Magia as a card so much that I’m not willing to let it go for less than 1k. And mine is so well centered and crispy too. I love it. Distant Quasar is the seller if you want it.
I will never buy modern day high yugioh cards ever again and i havent in a year so far. People buying Magia for those prices are legit fools. The card will be reprinted in ghost rare or some other new top end rarity in the future and then this one will sink down to like $100. Just look at starlight dragoon. It went from being a $300 card to like $98 now thanks to the QCR version. They made it the chase card in Brothers of Legend and now look at it.
@101academics I'm very glad i didn't get astral utopia at its hype. However I do think some modern (ghost bewd, mavens pharaoh rares) that will do fine over time. Starlights I stayed away from and certainly went abysmal but people overestimated tcg prismatic ulti prints myself included
Agreed Konami really shot the collector community with starlight rare then reprinting them a year later. Me personally i will be strictly vintage just got my all time chase stardust dragon 1st edition ghost rare in pristine condition vintage yugioh is worth the price not this modern over printed stuff.
Just another day of yugioh. Much to the playerbase's dismay, ROTA is gonna sell well and looking at the set why wouldn't it? It got something for everyone.
Man I can’t stand this game anymore #quittingyugioh Moving into Union arena and having loads of fun. Also nothing is going to change unless yugitubers like yourself band together and announce together boycott yugioh products
I'm currently not buying modern TCG sealed products or spending on Master Duel currently but I AM buying singles which still has to have a product opened somewhere and I'm going to very much support the TCG cards turned into figures line or collabs that have unique Yu-Gi-Oh merch that I collect. Your gripes with the game are likely valid as there are plenty, but I'm going to discuss the games problems while continuing to spend my money how I want to even if that doesnt solve the problem.
I used to collect but I've stopped and moved to Pokemon. Yugioh is not worth collecting at all. They killed the starlight market and their quality control has been horrendous. Why release starlight rares and make them 1 per case when you were literally going to release them again in a similar rarity down the line and a lot easier to get.
@@House_Of_Champs you your self do a very good job of acknowledging the issues among the game! I am just bitchin’ lol I’ll be around playing rouge or heart or under dog , but competitive play isn’t a lot of players jams right now.
While I DO think in the immediate the Ultimate Dragon of Pride and Soul will come on down in the immediate, how do you feel about it and the others long term long term? I'm just not a fan of them but I know some people are collecting ALL the quarter century locked cards for now, and super long term maybe they do dry up!
Super long term I think those cards will go up. But it’s a giant gamble, and the presale prices should reflect something closer to the actual value to entice buyers, not the future speculation. Nothing more than vendor greed for sure.
I really enjoy the one of qcr’s as a casual player/collector it’s the only presale, also people buying magia for this crazy price is wild it will 100% get a reprint and we will see some people getting really mad
I picked up 3 dragons and 1 ultimate dragon and I'm going to try and make it work in a deck. I think it's a semi decent card with a semi strict fusion requirement that will only get less strict as more cards are released. Question is if reprints/different rarity will come first
As a EU player I find the foiling on sSupers, Ultras and QCR's to be better in NA print due to the foiling being more stand out (especially on super and ultra rare.) However eveything else I think the EU has better foiling (Especially ultimate rare)
I HATE how "reprints" of Centur-Ion cards did literally nothing for the price....The deck is still at 150+ euros and ONLY for the Centur-Ion core, ignoring Bystials, staples and extra deck non Centur-Ion cards....I was really looking to play it but nah, komoney has to gatekeep cards forever in high rarities....I hate this crap so much and it makes me wanna quit yugioh completely...Always forced to play older decks that can't compete because the new stuff is always so ridiculously expensive
@TonyJrMl2 yes, they're one of the top rated accounts on TCGplayer and this is their website. I wouldn't feature then otherwise let alone work a discount code and sponsorship otherwise
Can't say this is surprising, but damn is it disappointing. We haven't even gotten over how poorly the tins did their job and now we have a new even more expensive staple entering the arena, trying to make fiendsmith look like a broke boy. I got some good pulls from my light of destruction box, maybe I can learn to play lightsworn for edison for a while instead
Personally had to grab the pride and soul for my collection it’s so expensive in the off and a 1 of which Ik doesn’t always mean crazy value but just on the off chance, this set sold so fast
@CyrusIsnt tier zero just sold out of boxes at 89 and cases where it'd be 74 a box after code I think? They're flying at 80 on tcgplayer too. After my state tax they're 85-86 on tcg
