Just purchased an ARB RTT , very pleased with it but having great difficulty In getting the thick cover over all 4 corners, it seems like it needs to stretch more to get over all the corners. Would it be easier if I took the cover completely off, not hanging by the seam on one side, coming straight down from the top on all 4 corners? Thanks, Bob
Great video. The early flex with the dramatic garage door opening, and then pulling your truck out over the materials had me locked in. Would be amazing if you tossed that shopping list in the video description! Thanks!
Yes. All the bedding I mentioned is folded up on the portion of the floor that remains fixed on the truck and the folding portion the tent folds on top of it all. Thanks for taking the time to watch. If you enjoyed it please subscribe. Thanks!
You can roll up the rain fly material above the window near the head end of your bed so easy to see the sky as the tent is sloped. Thanks for watching and please subscribe!
Hi Nate. Sorry for the late response. As it sits the tent floor is about six and a half feet off the ground so the annex has to be AT LEAST that tall. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Please subscribe if you enjoyed the content. 😉👊🏻
Mate, what a great review and demonstration. Straight to the point. Haha yes, we have a lot of creepy crawlies, that's why roof top tents are very popular here. Thanks for sharing. Subbed. Cheers, Grant (Australia).
Thanks bro. Still waiting for a check from ARB for all the tents I've sold for them. 🤣🤣 Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Please subscribe if you liked the content. 😉👊🏻
Hello agian. I have a jeep xj that im looking to put this tent on . You sold me on the tent . Now my next question is what roof top rack should i use . ? Do you have any idea on that ?
Absolutely. We keep it in the case I made for it that you see in my other video so it's pretty pristine. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. It's holding up just fine Kev. Making sure you store it away from rodents that might chew it up is important which is why I built the road case to store it in. Great video. Thinking of purchasing ARB RTT. Very interested in placing it the way you did so it opens towards back. Can you please tell me what is the width of the tent when it sits this way? From left to right? ARB gives the sizes on their website but not the directions with them so hard to tell if it fold open by wider part or narrower part. Thanks in advance
It actually folds by the narrower dimensions. Width (left to right) is 55" when open and 57" closed because it bellows a bit when you fold it up and tuck everything into the cover. Hope that helps. 😉 BTW...If you enjoyed the video, please subscribe to my channel. Been out of work since this whole covid debacle started so at this point I need all the help I can get. Now that I finally ordered my RTT for my 80 series land cruiser decided to come and watch your video again. What kind of roof rack are you using? Are those Yakima 1A? Sorry about your job situation. Things will get better
Yes it's the 1A Roofgutter System. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. If you enjoyed the video, please subscribe to my channel. Setting the ladder off the back is perfect for your clam-shell tailgate on the Landcruiser. I don't think it would work with the 4Runner one piece lift gate. Guess I will have to look for an 80 series as well. Thanks for the great review!
Bro, I've had a lot of folks ask about how it might work with a one piece hatch. I'm not sure if it would clear but I think if you mounted it far enough back on the roof it just might. The half that hangs over the back of the truck is 49" long so if your rear hatch is less than that you should be golden. 😉 Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. @@LKQProductions Consider me subscribed. I will do my best to share you videos. You seem to have a knack for this kind of stuff. Would be nice if ARB helped you out a little since over 2,000 people have liked your review and possibly steered them ARB's way. I will keep you in my prayers along with all the other Americans suffering because of this plandemic hoax. Peace to you and yours.

Hi, its along time ago but out of curiosity i see that the bracket strips under the tent (aluminum strips that the brackets slide in, are orientated from front to back so you can mount your simpson 3 so you access from the rear , i just bought one and my aluminum strips run the other way which suits side entrance, im assuming you can unbolt these strips to run the same way yours runs , otherwise ?????, ive never heard this mentioned but you would have to be able to change the way they run to be able to have access at the rear , yes ??
You closed the sale!! It make sense now why to fold it to the back. My concern is with a KIA Sorento de back door goes way up than yours. It will not work in mine, tho.
Well I'm not so sure that's true. I've had a lot of folks ask about how it might work with a one piece hatch. Hey Brian, Unfortunately the truck won't fit into the garage with the tent on top. Even if I could get it in there, the ceiling of the garage is only about a foot higher than the garage door opening. Thanks for watching my friend , hopefully you've subscribed to my channel. Thanks for your input!
