I have the DVD set of all episodes of Leave it to Beaver. My son and I watch one episode during every dinner. A 55 inch display is on the wall at one end of the dinner table, so we have a nice view of Mayfield. Recently The Lump is really growing on me.
You know, even today, blacks are only 13% of the U.S. population. Thus, there are lots of all-white towns/schools and many Americans who go through life not meeting a single, black person. In fact, blacks are overrepresented in the media these days, getting around 75% coverage. According to modern "woke" Hollywood, everyone in the U.S. has black relatives, friends, classmates, neighbors, colleagues, etc. Now, _that's_ a fantasy!
It's sad. He was so good at playing Eddie, people couldn't see him as anything else. He was clearly a good actor at a very young age, and could have played a variety of characters, given the chance.
hey i was born in 87 my old man had me watching the beave and hillbilles and rascals a stooges my whole childhood. Eddie is my fave character in all of TV. hes never been replicated or reproduced in other shows. Hes a gem
@@TheKieshaKiesha Absolutely! Ken Osmond's portrayal often had a depth that lifted Eddie Haskell far above the stereotypical wise cracking teen agers on other tv shows.

At the '63 graduation, I believe Captain Drake of the fishing fleet Eddie Haskell was going to work for, was called in to give his words of wisdom to the graduating class. Then they headed to the Country Club for the all night party.
