I know I'm late, but I still want to explain what I think of Danny Phantom. While Danny Phantom does have some flaws, overall, I still really like the show or specially the first two seasons. Season 1 was a strong start for the series. Doing a good job setting up the characters, the villains, setting, and structure for the show. It had great episodes such as My Brother's Keeper, Material Instinct, Bitter Reunion, and Fanning the Flames. It succeeds in setting the showoff to great start and providing room for the series to grow. Season 2 is my favorite season of the show. It carried over the elements that worked in season 1 and expanded upon the series in a good way. It had fun ideas, expanded on the characters, expanded the worldbuilding of the setting, had more focus on action-based tone and raised the stakes. It also had some of my favorite elements of the series. This includes the 44-minute specials, the iconic D emblem, Danny and Valerie relationship, Dani Phantom, Dark Dan, etc. It also had some of my favorite episodes of the show such as The Ultimate Enemy, Reign Storm, Kindred Spirits, Secret Weapons, The Fright Before Christmas, Flirting with Disaster. The Ultimate Enemy and Reign Storm being my two favorite episodes of Danny Phantom (The Ultimate Enemy being the GOAT). Those things are why Season 2 is the peak of the show for me. Season 3 is easily Danny Phantom's worst season. The episode quality was much weaker than the past two seasons with the exception of D-Stabilized (that was great). The characters were flanderized especially Vlad and Danny. The new villains were forgettable and boring. The tone and humor were obnoxious and out of control. The ghost didn't feel like ghost anymore. Plot points from Reign Storm, The Ultimate Enemy, and D Stabilized went unresolved. It made poor use of the limited time and episodes the season had left to focus more on unimportant junk. The relationship with Danny and Sam was underdeveloped and underwhelming. The finale Phantom Planet is the most disappointing episode of the show by far. Phantom Planet is boring, bloated, rushed, unfocused, poorly paced, underwhelming, and terrible. To me it's the worst episode of Danny Phantom. I used to think season 3 was just okay but now I just hate it and I'm disappointed Danny Phantom ended on a sour note. This season and Phantom Planet were just pathetic, at least the Glitch in Time comic gave the franchise a comeback. So, in conclusion the first two seasons were great, season 3 was disappointing, and A Glitch in Time is a nice come back for the IP.
Phantom fans who would prefer to see this superhero ghost and his pals return to TV or in other streaming services for a long awaited and rather overdue revival, help further the chances via signing and sharing out the "Bring Back Danny Phantom" petition. Just avoid the donating part.
I know there's the novel "A Glitch in Time" but I'm kinda disappointed on how it ended. Not to mention it left out Danielle from the action and she hasn't even become part of Danny's family and team yet as Hartman had hoped to have done ages ago had the show been able to continue after Season 3. And it currently remains debatable if the novel and its upcoming sequel's storylines are officially canon to the show's continuity for the novel had a few flaws on how it tried to connect to some of the past episodes of the series.
To the people that read this, God loves you so much and I honestly just want to spread his word that he definitely changed my life for the better and every one of you have potential to spread the Gospel and also change because of God have a good day/night/evening/afternoon (not forcing anyone)
Great video! Danny Phantom was one of my favorite Nick shows growing up. I wish Butch gave Steve Marmel creative control since the show could of ended with a bang. I am glad the graphic novel came out and Butch has no involvement with it.
Great video but Greg Eagles actually attempted to give Grim a Swedish accent as a reference to "The Seventh Seal" but he sounded more Jamaican than Swedish. Though Atoms loved it so much(like me) that he made Grim Jamaican instead.
100% agree on the ending!! It was perfectly wrapped up until that ONE LINE!!! WHY!! Why would they do this to us without confirming a season 3?? I genuinely enjoy this show, even though sometimes I need to ignore the fart jokes. It's definitely there for the target demographic.
production was done by Boulder Media, Titmouse did the pre-production and supervised. All the animation, backgrounds and compositing was done in Ireland (I comped allot of the show).
@@Liviuswildcard agreed , a lot of shows end before they can fulfill their stories glitch techs, final space, inside job, the shows you mentioned and many others
@@Liviuswildcard Yeah, they made S4, and while there were already problems before they got their hands on it, the animation style got downgraded severely
Nice video! Megas XLR was a great show. I definitely agree that it ended at a good note. Fun fact, Megas XLR was supposed to end at season 1 but the creators were so far in production that Cartoon Network allowed it to get a season 2. That would never slide with animation today with studios being a lot more crueler. Megas XLR is a tax writeoff too which sucks since it can't come back.
