I just got a fake pair advertised as authentic. They were a gift for my nephew and I was so disappointed after giving them to him. Their boxes have improved since this video but immediately after getting them out I could tell they were junk. I’ve had many Oakley sunglasses and the quality is no comparison.
I've got a pair of real and fake Corridor's. Virtually identical! Lenses are great on both....fakes were a fraction of the price. Wish I could return the real ones and get a refund!
i just bought one in MBK Bangkok , now it has a serial number BUT there is a screw showing up along the joints… its so hard to tell… except that the screws on the arms are quite visible
This is why I only like buying expensive sunglasses at a store. The bike/running shop I just bought my sutros at even gave me a 10% discount because I got the display pair out on the case, and there was the slightest scratch on them, which was really just a slight smudge that I was able to clean off with soap and water.
Thank you for the nice comparison. Thumbs up! and the PRISM writing is further away from the frame on the fake one. This is what I've noticed straight away.
Unfortunately the previous link and their contact information I had is no longer working so I can no longer pass along information regarding the seller I purchased from on Ali express... You can try to search for them using "sutro sunglasses" and look under reviews for photos (many look similar to the ones posted in my video). You can also contact the seller to ask if they have the "logos" and photos as they won't post photos taken with them on Ali express. Hope this helps!
You compared all of these differences between the two but didn't even mention anything about the most important difference between them - the lens quality. The lens in the fake pair is nowhere near the same quality as the real ones.
Exactly, anyone who thinks they are similar, like many in the comments claiming they have both fake and real, are cracked. The prizm lens technology is very noticeable as it really increases the contrast of things and the overall optical quality is very different.. And even then, things like the prizm logo mentioned in this video are clearly stamped on vs the real being laser etched.
The fact that the strap can’t be aligned below the ears is a big con. Although there is a thing at the back on the inside of the helmet that allows the strap to be pulled through.
As far a sizing goes, my head from brow to back and around is 23 inches. What size should I go for? And how is the helmet supposed to actually feel? Thank you! :)
I believe on most helmets you're large but before you buy a specific one check the specific brands size chart on internet for said model you wanna get if available or ask local bike shop.also you measure head a bit above brows 1-2 fingers and a bit above ears too and at the back the tape should be at the protruding bone
the difference between real and fake is huge. The real ones are a lot better built, less likely to break, have significantly better optical quality and increase contrast.
They are etched into the lens as well (on both pairs). Only difference is they are slightly larger on the fake pair (as shown in the video). It would be hard to tell on its own
Thx for the comment. Ya now that I've used it more, I wish it held my glasses a bit better than it does. I find I'm throwing them in the back jersey pocket instead of the vents for fear of them falling out (especially if I'm riding gravel or MTB).
Good question, never tried... I haven't even tried to put in the lens that comes with them. There are videos online how to, but I like the look of the Gold lens and just keep them in.
@@runbikeswim3652 sounds like a daft question but would you be able to try and let me know if it works? i have a fake set liek yours but want to put buy a real lens so that i get the benefits of their lens tech. thanks
@@jamesd5241 sry for the late reply... Unfortunately the real lens seem a lot harder to take out and I don't want to force em. I don't have any intention of swapping lens and will just leave em as is. Sorry about that.
Thx for the comment. Yes, the look is the same. The feel is different with the frame and I'm sure the lens tech is totally different. Though I've never compared the lens tech side by side with the same color lens.
