Where can I find a palette file for other games besides Zelda? Is there a program that can extract them from a ROM, or is there a website with a list of games of already extracted sprites palettes from different games?
Hey there, thanks for your interest. I've been working on a 4.0 update for a while. The api changes were significant enough to break little pieces of the entire addon; it's been taking longer than I expected to get it up and running. I have some folks testing an alpha build; hopefully I can get this out soon.
@@Fwiller is there an update on this ? And you need to make more videos about how to use this add on Because using it with the documentation is not as easy as a RU-vid tutorial video. I clicked the make a video button and it like got rid of all my objects I made and I couldn’t figure it out like 40 minutes since it didn’t show them in the menu to the right. Very confusing how to save the video as well.

Hi, I bought it a few days ago and am learning how to use it. I think it will help a lot. Thank you, this is the program I was looking for. While testing how to use it, it didn't record when I activated the 'Screencast Keys' add-on, which shows the keys I press on the screen. Is it possible to have both addons available at the same time? If it's difficult, you don't have to do it. I hope to make it a better addon with future updates.🤫
Thanks for picking it up, I hope it helps out! Unfortunately, making this addon compatible with other addons has proven to be one of the hardest parts of development. Addons like Screencast Keys that have a constant modal operator polling for key presses causes a false positive with TLTool that's waiting for all modal operations to stop before it captures anything. It's a problem I'm regularly investigating a solution to, but for now I can only recommend disabling those conflicting addons. As soon as I come up with a better solution, it will make its way into TLTool. More updates are coming out in the future, with some nice Quality of Life features, and I really appreciate you giving it a try in this early stage. Thanks!

the characters are scrambled like a moving puzzle when i open any other game. is there a way to edit the graphics of a character in whole? the best i could get was save as bmp and edit in gimp, but it is a minor improvement over the yy-chr editor, which is pretty good itself. but when i want to replace or edit a character the size of a street fighter its a rather tough puzzle. if there only was a way to associate the 8x8 sprites to their respective full images. changing the format in yy-chr doesnt make it any easier. does anybody know a trick or script to associate the 8x8s to a spritesheet in gimp or photoshop? i have some neat ideas for one or two other games and im willing to put in some work.
Hey folks, we've got a big new update coming out soon! Among other quality of life improvements, v1.1.0 adds a much needed "Idle Detection" feature. This is a new feature that tells Timelapse Tool to stop capturing if you haven't made any changes to the project file. This way, you can freely multi-task (look up stuff in your browser, use another program, etc.) without worrying about lots of un-changing captures being taken in the background. I'll add a toggle to turn this off if you prefer the default method, but I've found that this makes using this tool so much more comfortable. Stay tuned!
Yes, each project has it's own unique generated project ID (displayed at the bottom of the Timelapse Tool panel). You can come back to your project at any time and it will continue recording where you left off as long as it has that same ID. You don't have to do anything special, just save your blend file and the ID will get saved too :)
Looks cool! Could you record realtime tutorial with a least some explanations? Would be nice to see how it works. Because teaser is cool but, you know, this is a teaser))
I am a decent modeler, but I have like none skills with rendering or camera use. I would love a totorial how to set up 3 camera's (front, side and rotating around) Nice imporvement would be to exclude object like images. because I have images all over the place while working on a object. but that would not look good inside a video.
Tutorials are a great idea! I'm slowly working my way through the documentation to cover all the features of this addon, but I think a few videos that go over basic usage will be helpful. I'll work on those soon. As for excluding specific objects, I can see the need for that. I'm adding a 'Visibility Editor' to the addon roadmap to address that issue. Thanks!
@@Fwiller nice. I can say I get the hang of it after one day now. I made a set up with 2 camera that spin around non stop. One starts in the front. One in the back. BUT I wish I could film with a different ratio. Dont know how yet. But most of my problems are because I have no skill with using the camera. I was forced to learn about cycles and camera animation yesterday. Cant wait to see the updates in the future. Your add on is the second ever add on I bought and I was really searching for something to showcase my work. I try to update when I am happy with a filmed project
@@DinoMoonCreations Glad to hear you've had some success with it! The timelapse cameras use the project settings, so you can change the ratio of the cameras. Just go to the output properties, and change the resolution to what you prefer (I use 720 x 720 a lot). i.imgur.com/bNa6K6N.png

I know it's been years, but can YY-CHR edit the other sprites apart from Link? I'm trying to change some NPCs. Can't seem to get those sections to configure correctly.
