From a skydiving perspective I have to make one remark: he should have gone in a tracking position moving away from the Objekt and avoiding falling debris. He had plenty of altitude to do so after stabilising. This is standard procedure in base jumping.
I was thinking that. If he's so high up he can't control his spin, it isn't getting any worse at least. Once he can control himself, he should be angling himself away from the tower, and waiting until he's closer to the ground before risking opening his cute. (Well, maybe not that last bit - I don't know anything about skydiving that I haven't learned from movies.)
Something nice about this scene is how they reflected how hard it'd be for Brad's character to control his orientation when falling, as at that height there was barely any air to affect him aerodynamically. Therefore, before he got much lower there'd not be a lot of force he could manipulate to put himself into a belly down skydiving position. Very realistic.
why didnt he pop his reserve when his chute was taking tears? he had enough altitude. why didnt he PLF? a landing like that at that speed he definitely broke his coccyx bone. definitely
The movie looks great, and it does have some atmosphere to it. But it is just so boring. The final big revelation is.... there is no revelation. Nothing. It's just monologues about life is meaningless and the universe is empty. It makes the effort of sitting through this film feel pointless.
it was a Powerful sci-fi and a true slap for how vast and yet how melancholic the universe is... and here they just reached till Neptune!! Really managed to tell us how long it takes just to reach Moon, with all the technology they have, let alone second last planet in the Solar System The moment he left earth... We saw Grey We saw red We saw yellow We saw blue We saw black We saw white but it was only earth.... where we saw Green !! A true colour of LIFE
