Anytime I have to visit downtown, at Kensington Market there is a Jimmy Coffee. My favorite. They got patio in the back, completely separated from street and cars. very relaxing large patio/backyard. I am actually going there tomorrow as I have to visit downtown. Looking forward for that, weather should cooperate.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'm always looking for new cafes, restaurants, sightseeing and activities in and around the city. If you like small cutesy cafes like this, you should check out Balzac's in Kleinburg. The coffee, pastries, sandwiches and atmosphere are excellent. Plus, I like that they setup shop in older historical structures while trying to maintain the original aesthetic as much as possible.
@@tinagiordanella3212 Balzacs is amazing, I’ve only been to the liberty village location and it did not disappoint. But ya Manita just opened a second location in rosedale, but their original location is on the border of little Portugal. Highly recommend going!!
FYI re: Osgoode Hall - the security being tight ... this is due to a barrister being shot a few years back, by a disgruntled person at the entrance to the Hall.
My absolute favourite bakery is the Lale Bakery on Lakeshore, close to Brown's Line. Fantastic pastry, and it has a very European flair. However this is not the artifical, overly ostentatious "European flair" you would find in very touristy areas, but this is genuinely European, unassuming, and the pastry is the main feature. It is run by a Serbian couple and people walk by on the street and wave in as they do so. Inside, you really feel like being in a European Bakery in a residential side street in a small, quiet European town. The pastry is world class and has more flavour than sweetness. But beware, they only have "coffee", not cappucino, latte, macchiato, americano, espresso, frappuccino, no. Just pure and simple - coffee. And yes, they also have tea. Just like in Europe. You visit a couple of times and you become a friend, not just another customer.
This place is not free. They don’t charge for entry, but parking is a $20.00 flat charge and you can’t leave without paying it. It’s in the middle of nowhere and can only accessed by car. The place is a building site, and some of the statues and buildings that are built are already falling into disrepair.
@@ontarioroadtripping I’m simply relaying my experience. I find your hostility to my comment unnecessary. I capitalized only one word for emphasis, but as it has caused such offense I have edited it.
The St Patrick along with ST queens got their panels took off, because they had to remove asbestos, those stations were made before the asbestos ban in 1980. And as far as I know, they were used because of the unique tunneling curvatures they have. The asbestos were able to go through the gaps of the panels, so people had been breathing molecules of it for 60 years. Union, I wished was way more spacious.
Love your channel and as traveler explorers we enjoy spending time on the road checking unique experiences in Ontario and abroad, tasting great food, meeting wonderful people and exploring histories of places we visit. Please try Yellow Canoe Cafe in Merrickville Ontario in one of your trips, and we believe you will love the food experience, as well as the beautiful town of Merrickville. We will share more places as we enjoy our experiences as well as trying your suggestions. Thank you so much again and will be following you always!!! Happy travels!!!
I enjoy your travel videos a lot! But the music keeps reminding me of someone strangling a cat... hahahahaha don't change it, though, I would still miss it...😂
@ontarioroadtripping ... what I meant to say is - even though I find the background music a little funny, I'm still enjoying your channel very much and don'twant you to change it just for me...🙂
In August 2023, my husband and I drove from the GTA to Winnipeg. We took 3 days. First night we stopped in Sault Ste Marie and the second day we drove to Thunderbay. That part of the drive was spectacular. Lots of waterfalls and other places to stop. We stayed in Thunderbay overnight. On our drive to Winnipeg, we stopped at Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park. It’s just outside Thunderbay and has the second highest waterfall in Ontario . Niagara Falls being the largest. I highly recommend this trip. We want to do it again when we can take more time. Ontario has so much to offer.
How I wish that instead of useless criticism people would provide interesting feedback with more cool ideas. Or better yet try doing one of these videos (only to have ppl like you reply with this ish..)
For a physical style theater show, it's a bit too wrestling style for my tastes 😅 When I first saw it on the website, I was surprised to see that the knights were not wearing any head protection... and yes they doing rehearsed fights. I'm not a HEMA expert, but a bit of actual fighting would welcomed lol ..... if the protection to allow it is present, of course. But I get that the maintenance of armour could get expensive (though, no need to have well-made custom fit stuff, that's just too fancy for repeating shows), a bit more stake would be exciting! The only part I understand is reduced is the jousting. Actual jousting is actually pretty brutal and their helmets look frighteningly inadequate for actual jousting (as are the armours). For the jousting lances they are likely easier to break than real lances... either way, both are designed to break, for safety reasons (and it definitely adds to the show 😂). In the end, it looks like it's still much better than some more "official" medieval events that are out there. If any of the crew reads my comment, I think you know what I'm talking about lol
Really great video which I enjoyed very much and, given that I have decided to get out of the house more, is also timely. I was amused that you and, so far, all who've commented below have missed that the photo of the Niagara Falls Boat Tour thingie shows Adam Sandler, David Spade, Rob Schneider and another gentlemen whose name escapes me as I can't make out who it is but it might be Kevin James. The photo appears at timestamp 27:10 and 27:20
Not quite over yet but coming soon. I recommended this place to others and they seemed excited. I'm sorry I missed the cherry and apricots. Either their fruits are D E L I C I O U S!!! 💝
The only place I saw no filming signs were in the stairways, so I filmed where there were no signs. They did reach out to me saying you're not allowed to film, I said I can remove, but they said it's ok and to keep.
Please don’t say these statutes are beautiful. Because they truly are Satanic. And Canada was founded on Christianity. There is no place for this apostate buildings. Throughly sad it has a place on this soil!! A robot. Wow what sort of religion is this. Its an abomination. The statues. Are pure Satanic!!
What is throughy sad. Is the gorgeousness of their beach. I wish we in Canada could claim it as our Province. But the people there outshine the country and its debilitated infrastructure. Thise people are so happy they truly are the sweetest. Ever! Apart from that communism is cancer. And they don’t deserve to live like this. I can’t go back to cuba for the simple fact that its harm to humanity is great. 😮😡😡😡
What Apostasy. HERE IN CANADA. this is a Christian country. And this should be a site for Jesus Christ . Statues are gorgeous are you kidding me they look evil!
