I like how you can basically use this for concerts and marching, since we have an upright and forward facing bell (not saying we actually should, but it could happen.)
No that’s his tuning slide, I’m a tenor trombone player so bass trombonists correct me if I’m wrong. But the note is too low for the gliss so they pull their tuning slide out in order to lower the pitch. It’s pretty genius actually, once again don’t know if that’s actually it:)
