Hi Kevin - for ERND (distributing), since it invests in corporate bonds, does it mean it will pay 15% dividend WH tax for part of the dividend? Comparatively, the net yield for IB01 could be higher? thank you.
Great video. As a long term holder and trader we don’t care much about current price. As a trader looking to buy when oversold and sell when overbought, the weekly and 2 week charts are showing us we’re oversold and it’s a great time to buy more. Price on 2 wk bouncing off a rising 20 MA. Price on weekly chart is bouncing off a rising 40 Ma. The stochastic RSI on both charts is way oversold. Translation, great time to buy. Thx again for the different ways/ perspectives/ lenses to look at BTC’s potential. BTC is the ultimate disruptor.....I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Seren Wintersun, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
The same high-yield potential exists in both bullish and bearish situations; what matters is how information and technique are used. Not neglecting professional advice.
Wise is owned by a jew, and many customers have complained that they scam people of 1000s of dollars. However, it is registered in Singapore and might be safer
Emphasizing the return without highlighting currency risk is not ideal. USD depreciated -4.5% against SGD from 1.35 to 1.29 within 3 months, I followed your recommendation, converted SGD to USD and park USD in IBKR.
hi kelvin, i wanted to check, through your business name, members of public can find out your full name, and from there they can also find your nric? is there any way to overcome this.
like what you explain, simply and easy to understand for beginners like me. and you say in common market language. i also like "option for davis" which is deeper but bit hard to follow for me who is not singaporean.
Hi Kelvin, thanks for making this video. Its useful for consideration. But on the point on making a market order instead of a limit order, i would like to comment that a market order would not make sense for large orders relative to the trading volume of the security concerned.
Warning: On September 6, 2024, I sent 110 euros to Germany via the Wise app. On September 9, I received a message about depositing money to the recipient's account. However, on August 1, the German bank reported that no money had been deposited into that account from Wise. I called Wise and asked them to follow up on the amount. Unfortunately, without any apology for the fake payment slip they sent me on September 9, they claimed that due to lack of documents, the money was not deposited and the amount is still available in their bank account. The delay in this payment caused problems in my purchase process and now I no longer wish to continue working with Wize. Interestingly, to refund the money to the same account I paid from, they ask for more documents and claim that the documents are missing. This is shameless theft. How is it that when I signed up for their program and verified my identity online, the documents were sufficient to transfer the money to them, but suddenly it is incomplete to return the same amount to my account? The irresponsibility of Wise staff in handling the disappearance of the amount in their system is quite remarkable.

If buy IB01, does IBKR charge you the trading fee in pounds or usd? If no pounds they will charge you margin interest? I tried to buy 100 shares (ard 10k usd) and the fee is ard 5.5 usd alr.
Hi Kelvin. Great video as always. Can i use the purchased ETFs like ERNA as collateral when selling cash secured puts? Will I still need a margin account for this?
Hi Kelvin, @KelvinLearnsInvesting I already selected tired pricing for long time ago but when I see preview order for 10k usd .. comission show around 5.54$ .... Any idea, why?
Any idea why my IBKR fees for buying IB01 is much higher? I tried to buy 1000 shares on paper trading account and it shows around 62 USD in fees. Even buying 1 share would cost 4 USD
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting I went to try on my real trading account which is already on tiered pricing since paper account cant configure pricing settings. Buying 1 share is ard 1.85 USD same as ur video. But buying 1000 shares still incur around 40 USD?
Having both bonds and equities is just sensible portfolio allocation, and Kelvin does a fine job of explaining the former. You can make money, but you can never buy class.
I much prefer parking it as cash in IBKR given that the proposed method may have risk to capital as compare to parking with IBKR and enjoying 4.33% risk-free (granted you need to have a much larger NAV to enjoy the rates IBKR provides)
Thanks for sharing the video, Kelvin. I have noted that the 3 Ireland domiciled ETFs' dividends are accumulating. Have you checked if they are subject to the typical 15% withholding tax (between the US and Ireland)?
The IB01 etf ytm is only 4.5% @30sept. Where do you get 5.5% (if 1 year yield , that’s before rate cut)? To compare with IBKR rates, shouldnt the latest ytm be used for fair comparison ?
Thanks Kelvin for the video. Does the etf price fluctuates? noted the underlying is us treasury, by right it should not fluctuates and the should confirm goes up 5% every yr? am i correct?
Don't waste your time on this strategy. You have to manage 3 options per trade. Too costly and complex. Make sure you don't blur blur make mistakes during the process. It is better to just trade cash secure put or covered call. Cheap and simple. Only 1 option to manage. 😁
Hi guys.. wondering how do I enable option trading on my IBKR account? My account type is margin. I apparently haven't have any option trading experience hence i had to put no experience in the selection, but then that means i am no eligible. Whats the workaround?
