Great question Bruce and one that we should have addressed in the video! Of course there will always be situations when an RTK Mobile station is your best solution, such as remote locations where there are no Mount points close by or no internet available, this information is mainly for operators who may be starting out and can't afford the heavy investments that come with this kind of equipment 👍

Does this apply to a DJI/FPV too? Is there a way to pause recording while in flight from the RC? Thanks for the video. I went flying today, total noob... found a beautiful place in the foothills here started flying and a warden/ranger approched me.... IDK what you call them said I couldn't fly there. Thanks for the video.. Edit: I set the format to MP4 but, the output is mov? Am I doing something wrong?
Not noob at all! If the building is in a red restricted area then yes you will as the drones Geozone lock won't know that youre inside, however the good news is getting the approval from the Governing Aviation body prior to the unlocking should be much simpler as you'll be "shielded" from any planes in the area, meaning you can easily justify flying in that area from a safety point of view.
I have had a DJI Mavic 2 Pro for about 4 years now. The livestream options on the controller, I have the smart controller with screen that was an option for that drone, and the live stream options have NEVER WORKED! Seems like this would be somewhat of an easy fix for DJI, something a software update could help with. Though I havent tried the live for quite sometime now, maybe ill get all the updates done and try this coming weekend
I am struggling, sorry, as i took the mavic 3 pro out for the 1st time today (woohoo)! But .... I accidentally touched the 3 dots top right, and it brought up the Before you fly screen. I could not get back to the flying one. Panicked slightly. Swore a few times. Hit the emergency RTH button shown as a 'H',still not being able to view the flight back and landed it. Pause ... Nightmare over, but I still can't figure out how to get the screen back to flying mode, when this problem occurs? Should swiping it work?
I have tried everything and I can't seem to get a connection. I have all the requirements,50 subscribers .I have my RU-vid channel and I have it set up already. every time I hit the countdown button it counts down and then nothing I even tried changing my key to see if that would help. any suggestions
Great! I was going to suggest make sure to input the RTMP address as below: RTMP address/stream key. I.e. add the "/" (forward slash) between the RTMP address and the stream key. Only in this way, can the live streaming screen be displayed. Can you advise what the issue was in case others have the same problem?
Can you add more data to the metadata fields in each picture, to give the client easy access to the image details and extra information about the image
If you're talking about adding a timestamp to each image absolutely! This is an option with all Enterprise drones however we decided against this as it would mean the pilots needing to spend more time at each asset placing in the full details. The clients asset management system also relied on file name conventions so wasn't necessary once these were renamed and placed within the correct folder structures 👍
Can you proceed a bit slower for us older guys please. Your to quick from screen to screen and I keep having to stop the video to regain what you went to quickly with.
Really enjoying these videos. After doing Telco LoS with drones for over 4 years now I can confirm these jobs are an emotional rollercoaster, but full of adventure. There's so many variables with transport logistics, site access issues, tech problems, weather and just straight up randomness (ie. snake in telco hut or Wedge-tails going after your drone) It's always constant problem solving and a race against time for daylight, site access or flights. Also driving, so much driving; You really want a good coworker or crew to join you for the ride. That being said you get to travel to some amazing places as these towers are often built on remote mountains deep in the outback or other interesting spots. You'll definitely stay in some gnarly accomodation too.

Yes the projects can very both challenging and rewarding at the same time, with problem solving a key part of almost EVERY operation you are on, but we live for the adventure! Stay tuned...in part 3 it certainly is a roller-coaster!
