The songs remind me of when I was 20 years old and active in the Church....and was able to take part in the Youth Advent camp in Kaliurang, Central Java, Indonesia because I was able to sell cassettes from Heritage Singer....very touching and strengthening my Christian faith...Praise the LORD...
In shady, green pastures so rich and so sweet God leads His dear children along Where the water’s cool flow bathes the weary one’s feet God leads His dear children along Some through the water, some through the flood Some through the fire, but all through the blood And some through great sorrow, but God gives the song In the night season and all the day long Sometimes on the mount where the sun shines so bright God leads His dear children along Sometimes in the valley, in darkest of night God leads His dear children along Though sorrows befall us and Satan oppose God leads His dear children along Through grace we can conquer, defeat all our foes God leads His dear children along Some through the waters, some through the flood Some through the fire, but all through the blood Some through great sorrow, but God gives the song In the night season and all the day long
I haven't heard that song since the 1970s . I was told that it was written by an old black man who had been betrayed and wronged and cheated by another man. And he wanted to kill him he was filled with so much revenge, but God didn't let him but he said God can I at least break his leg ? And God gave him this song
Representative Text 1 Oh, how well I remember in the old-fashioned days, When some old-fashioned people had some old-fashioned ways; In the old-fashioned meetings as they tarried there, In the old-fashioned manner, how God answered their pray'r. Chorus: 'Twas an old-fashioned meeting, in an old-fashioned place, Where some old-fashioned people had some old-fashioned grace: As an old-fashioned sinner I began to pray, And God heard me, and saved me in the old-fashioned way. 2 There was singing, much singing, of those old-fashioned airs! There was power, such power in those old-fashioned pray'rs, An old-fashioned conviction made the sinner pray, And the Lord heard and saved Him, in the old-fashioned way. [Chorus] 3 Well, they say it is better, "Things have changed, don't you know," And the people in gen'ral, seem to think it is so; And they call me old-fashioned when I dare to say, That I like it far better in the old-fashioned way. [Chorus] 4 If the Lord never changes, as the fashions of men, If He's always the same, why, He is old-fashioned, then! As an old-fashioned sinner saved thro' old-time grace, Oh, I'm sure He will take me to an old-fashioned place. [Chorus]
Ummm sex in marriage is not a secular activity. How is sex a secular activity? The devil has been attacking sex trying to make it something it’s not but it sure ain’t secular. Sex in a marriage is holy and undefiled. God created Adam and Eve right before sabbath. You really think after he told them to be fruitful and multiply that they didn’t have sex? Any newly wed couple who waited until marriage would tell you that that’s all they want to do after their wedding. I believe they gloried God all Sabbath long with their bodies becoming one. Also the women who took care of Jesus were still living and acting according to the RIDGID laws of the times and so it had nothing to do with what Jesus would have wanted. Yea they walked with Jesus for three years but things didn’t really started to click until some time after his death. They still thought hanging out with gentiles was unholy until Peter had that dream. Come on now.
I've got a long way to go to be like the Lord. I've got a long way to go to be like Him. I've got to be merciful, dutiful, faithful and true, Kind and just in all that I do, I've got a long way to go to be like my Lord. I don't remember trudging up a rugged hill, With a cross upon my back. I don't recall a thorny crown Being thrust upon my brow Now that I look back. I've never been spat upon, ridiculed, wounded in my side, Life's no bed of roses, but still I can't deny, I've got a long way to go to be like my Lord. I'm traveling onward, upward, daily Lord am I, On my way to victory. And when I reach my Calvary someday by and by Lord, remember me. I want you to strengthen me, encourage me, deliver me I pray, For I know my weakness, that is why I say, I've got a long way to go to be like my Lord. I want you to strengthen me, encourage me, deliver me I pray, For I know my weakness, that is why I say, I've got a long way to go to be like my Lord. - Mohau Mafojane
Stop asking foolish and unlearned questions. The car you drive to church was probably made on the Sabbath. You maybe shouldn't turn on the light on a Sabbath night when you need to go to the bathroom, turn off the heater or air-conditioning too because they all use electricity. During winter you can also choose to freeze to death. Someone once said I shouldn't drive to church on Sabbath because a fire is lit in the internal combustion engine and the Old Testament speaks against making a fire on the Sabbath. This is not proper reasoning.
Personally, I don't plan funerals on the Sabbath, because Sabbath is THE day that God calls for all creation to rest from six days of Labor, even the beast of the field are called to rest. When funerals and weddings (and other events) are held on THE Sabbath, we are breaking His command for all of His creatures to rest. When we plan events for The Sabbath, we are hiring and paying people to work on THE Sabbath that God has called all creatures to rest on. Typically, people that don't observe THE Sabbath, hold weddings and funerals on THE Sabbath. Because those who claim to be Sabbatarians would rather be accepted of man rather than of God, they refuse to accept the sacredness of THE Sabbath, and follow the traditions of man.
@@vegancookingwithpamandcaro1884 My nephew is getting married in December and I was a father figure to him in the absence of his biological father. He is upset with me because I told him I cannot attend his wedding because that would be Sabbath breaking. He doesn't understand as he worships on Sunday and this is already causing a strain our relationship. I am saddened by this but we know that the issue at the end of time will be over the Law of God and if we are compromising and failing now, how will we overcome when the pressure is brought to bear upon us during the Mark of the Beast crisis. This is a hard thing for me but I have to be faithful to what I believe
Ellen White said that people who had criticized a man for burring his wife on the Sabbath were wrong. "I saw it was for no wrong of yours that she was taken away, but if Brother A had come directly to your house she would have been rescued from the grasp of the enemy." {14MR 52.3} "I saw [that] they did wrong in afflicting the afflicted by reproving you for having the funeral on the Sabbath. I saw they had better been looking at themselves and seeing where they had erred from the path of duty that God had marked out for them to go in." {14MR 52.4}
The song is a source of courage... Should they not blend it with those sharp voices and music.. From low they suddenly go high... Why must sda blend in with the world when it comes to. Music.. This is aginst the guidance of spirit of prophesy.. The heritage singers has been guilty of it for years
