Another great video. I really appreciate that Chilla's Art has been getting more ambitious with their games. It makes me forgive more of the rough elements when you can tell that they're challenging themselves creatively. By the way, do you have plans to cover anymore horror movies?
I'd love to cover more films. I really want to finish the Ju-On series at least, but I'm finding it difficult to think of a way of covering it that would seem less like a detailed plot summary. I don't know if that makes much sense as that's mostly what my gaming videos are, but it doesn't feel as valuable a method when covering films, at least to me. I'll figure it out eventually because I definitely would like to make more film videos. I have a bunch of ideas for them.
“we have songs to sing and best friends being murdered to ignore” Loved this part of the review 😂 The Karaoke wasn’t my favorite, but I gotta say, Night Security is the scariest Chilla’s Art game by far. From the cleaning lady that simply stares at you, to the slow build up of the ghostly entity hunting you, this game disturbed me simply from watching Let’s Plays of it. The atmosphere has that persistent sense of dread, and the jump scares are actually well-earned (such as the puppet scare).
Great video! I think that the garbage guy in Parasocial takes your trash with him, but it may just be an error. Have you considered playing the Fears to Fathom series? The first game is free
Oooh that's very possible and definitely adds to the creep factor! I'm not super familiar with the FtF series so I'll check it out! Thanks for watching! <3
I think I enjoy chilla's art games a lot more that start releasing at 2023 because of your analysis👍 Can't wait for The Kidnap, Jisatsu, Shinkansen 0, and The Bathhouse RE(The Ramen Stand and (probably) another game released by the time you upload your next chilla's art analysis video).
I will say, I've already played The Kidnap but chose to leave this video at 3 games because it was already long enough, and I quite enjoyed it! CA really do seem to be upping their game because 4 good games in a row is almost unheard of from them! 😅 Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy Part 6 and beyond! ❤️
Hey, thanks for the heads up about the content of Karaoke. If I prepare myself mentally, I can "enjoy" the media with SA but without it I end up having quite an unpleasant trauma response
I haven't kept up with their releases since it feels like a new game comes out every month so your videos are a great way to catch up and find the ones worth grabbing.
Yeah they do have quite the frequent output. I myself get surprised with how quickly my Steam library fills up with new games of theirs. I'm glad my videos could help though! Thanks for watching, dude! ❤️
I'm considering it. It mostly depends on if I get it for free like CA promised. Apparently it will be given to those who owned the original automatically but it hasn't appeared in my library yet. We'll see. I am curious about the changes as I've heard it's quite different from the original. Thanks for watching! ❤️
26:51 The translation means "Retro doll, Handmade, Your friend from abroad" so it doesn't really give any context unfortunately 29:12 "I won't let you go, It's your fault, I wont forgive you, You traitor" (These translations are from Gab Smolders video cause my japanese is extremely bad)
After watching your series on Chilla's arts, I have a few opinions. 1. I think it will benefit you if you play a game multiple times to view details/secrets you missed last time and at least get the best ending. The Ghost Train, and The Closing Shift is a good example of that. 2. You should play games like Aka Manto with a guide. For example, Hanako (which is ironically the most polished and in-depth one of the being chased games, at least to me) has a limited save system in the style of Resident Evil where you need to pick up random drops of coins to save. There's also boss fights, which only appeared in a previous game Chilla's art made prior to Okaeri. Unrelated, but after reading your comic you linked in the description: An Orange being turned into a vampire and gain sentience is a unique premise, and I'm looking forward on how it will affect other's with it's existence. Also, the obese vampire, and the fact that the vampires themselves are pretty stupid, or at least sheltered enough from the world that they don't know what vitamin C is... That's just hilarious.
Thanks for this feedback! I actually realised I wasn't doing good enough a job analysing the games so in the next Chilla's Art video I've made sure to try my best to get every ending. It's made the experience of playing the games a lot more rewarding so I may consider returning to previous CA games that I didn't have too high an opinion of. Thanks so much for reading the comic! It's kind of on hiatus at the moment as I've had to do a lot of overtime at work and I'm putting more time into the YT videos. I'd like to return to it and if I do I think I'd go for a more simplistic art style so I could get chapters out a lot quicker. The story I have mapped out for it is quite long and if I continued at the rate I was going it would never be finished. 😅 Thanks so much for watching! I hope you enjoy the next Chilla's Art video that should be out next week!
I like this game. I like what is trying to do and the atmosphere. I saw the gameplay when it was going to came out and it spooked the hell out of me. When I finally played it wasn't what I expected to be honest. But that's kind of... better am I right? I wouldn't like it so much if it was exactly as I wanted it to be. I also enjoyed a lot learning a little about Indonesia's folklore and stuff.
Great Video! Talking about Chilla's Art is always kind of funny cuz their games are either the slow-burn subtle horror kind or the stalker-based always-in-danger horror kind. I actually prefer the latter style more admittedly as I really enjoy the tension and thrill of stalker horror games in general, but it's interesting to see either way how preferences for horror can be so distinct from person to person. Your review certainly helped me further realize the appeal to games such as Okaeri and Inunaki Tunnel, I look forward to trying some of them out, as well as watching part 2 of your chilla's art analysis.
1:06:06 I see that your kei's camera spirit point meter hasnt been upgraded, i havent played the third one but maybe beside the "fatal frame" method you probably need to use the lens mechanic for kei's combat edited: nevermind u already explain it later
That's not stupid. They are more experienced and more skillful compared to characters in previous series. Tell me, what is differences between them and previous characters?
I was honestly surprised when I saw I had more subscribers than you, I think you deserve way more, your video are amazing and you have a good voice, and that shocking since I normally dislike anything negative no matter what the context is yet I find your videos are a good way to learn about games I don’t know a lot about or don’t know at all.
Actually the Woman in Red is just the First Sister. She is portrayed as a beautiful woman in red (duh) although she becomes slightly more monstrous as the game progresses. The Second Sister is the red ghost that was possessing Doni and was defeated by Linda in that mirror battle. The Third Sister is the one possessing Ira, she appears as a doll when not in someones body. I found all this out by talking to the Third Sister and not pissing her off when she is pretending to be Ira. She also gives hints in that conversation that they're not the bad guys, since she mentions that the Second Sister (despite being crazy) wouldn't actually kill a human, so Doni was already dead when she snapped his neck. (No idea who killed him... Teacher maybe?) She explains that everything they're doing is just to scare you away from the school.
