I needed this so much. Spelling has been my biggest enemy so far in learning the language. I keep on getting it wrong whenever I write hangeul cause my pronunciation has been interchangeably wrong between eo and o so I get confused when I try to write it. Also with all those confusing double batchim and irregular consonants. Thank you!
I find 포도 funny cause it sounds like bodoh in Malay (bodoh means stupid) and also, 사과 sounds like 傻瓜 (stupid person in Chinese) so there's some funny things that are heard from different languages
Tysm!! And the sound assimilation does really help we actually have that in arabic and its named "idgham : ادغام" so it was pretty easy for me to follow along! Ty once again!
I just finished watching part 1 and 2. These 2 videos are extremely precious for their content, clearness and presentation. Am saving them as a guideline for further research about Korean history and heritage. Actually I’ve watched several historical movies and tv series but had difficulties understanding some aspects so please if you can make more videos Iike this to help foreigners understand to background and the roots of Korean culture and costumes. Also if you can recommend more movies about important people, events or periods of time. Thank you so much for your wonderful work 👏😍
Thank you so much for taking an interest in Korean history and watching the video ^^ I hope you enjoyed it!
Ok so I'm a little confused: she's writing two different things under each isolated consonant. Which one represents the official name of the consonant, the one with the simple line next to it, or the more "complicated" looking one on the right side of the paper?
@@GiantPetRat I addition, the first character of the name represents how it’s pronounced when it’s an initial consonant, and the second character shows how it’s pronounced as a final consonant.
very interesting that they use the folklore as their own history. maybe they should consider Jesus Christ as their ancestor. That would be more kick-ass.
King Sejong is the best! a true leader who priors the need of the people rather than gaining more power, That is the characteristics of every people wishing to have to their leaders. Gamsahamnida King Sejong for building my dream country🇰🇷💗
Holy shit it's so easy to understand! I especially like the first part where you have to replaced the subject markers depending on whether the word ends with an open sound (vowel) or close sound (consonant).
