Ahhh man, some fantastic tin !!! Love it,real Van Bangers 😆😆😆 thanks for posting, this has made my day ! Love to see a CLASSIC HOT ROD Escort Van !!!!!!!!!
Some real Bangers from better days sadly passed . . . . Watch for all the dead car follow ins . . . . Wait for it . . . . Wait . . . , oh,Racing Bangers,as it should be 😈😈😈 an A60 ,the classic approach . , love this footage,thanks for posting 😆😆😆😆
Great footage,I remember when Bangers had Tyres strapped to the fronts haha, better times sadly passed . . . Good to see a Banger RACE . . . Rather than an opportunity to see how small you can compact a Ford Granada . . . . ☺
Back with these older cars the front had very little strength with more modern banger racing the whole rear of the car completely caves in from the first hit. And cars are almost invincible at the front. Bought time N-cap started looking at safety for the rear of cars!
This just goes to show that most caravans have flimsy builds and why you should never travel in a caravan while it is being towed - there is no protection whatsoever (just look at number 70 at 0:54).
The late great start marshal Ted weaver.he used be in the start car and then run across the track and get in the start box.A true entertainer.RIP Ted I thought you was great when I was a kid.
@@NemesisGrowz Erm tbh i dont think he was,ray wood i think was shorter,Ray wood continued on when ted stopped, although spedeworth had another too,but im not sure his name.I was a kid,so ted could of been quiet short i guess.Regards.
This was either 1975 or 1976 as chris medler was world champion two years running. You have to remember that most of these cars were given away as petrol hungry cars in the mid 70's went out of fashion.Example...My dad had a choice at a car showroom between an e type jag and a lotus elan both for sale at the same price.Petrol hungry cars wernt wanted anymore you couldn't give them away.Of course if you had them now it's a different story but this race was in the seventys..
I'm from Poland and back in 80's cars like 126p and 125p were luxurious goods here (and considered cheap scrap in the UK even when new) and back in 70's you were destroying REAL luxurious cars, that's sad nowadays ppl seek for socialism/communism ;)
