Hey! Yes, SQ308 was operated by the A380 before the pandemic. After travel demand picked up with the loosening of travel restrictions, the daytime SQ308 was restarted with the B777-300ER. The flight was subsequently restored to the A380 with the northern winter 2022/23 schedule from 30 Oct 2022.
Hi! Do you have any cabin shots of this particular aircraft, A7-ALS?! I’m very curious to know If It has the old or new Economy Cabin! If not, did the seats have dual screens ( with the second screen being a remote for the PTV ), or not?
Hi, yes I have photos but I somehow could not post it in the reply on RU-vid. It has the newer Economy Class cabin which features the slimline Recaro CL3710 seats with the folding tray table. These have a single large Thales PTV screen which takes up almost the entire width of the seat, but no remote control. If I'm not wrong, these are the newest Y seats available on Qatar as they are also on the new A350-1000. The A380 in comparison, has the dual screen as you had mentioned but with a significantly smaller main screen.
@@dolphinair764ER I see! Very Interesting Indeed! I though A7-ALS was the last A359 with the older dual screen seats, but apparently, It’s the first one with the new Recaro CL3710 seats XD. Yes, I’m aware of the seat specs, as I have been onboard a few QR A350s, and they are Incredible! Very comfy & looks stunningly modern! About the A380, actually two of them ( A7-API & A7-APJ ) also have the Recaro CL3710 seats, while the remaining 8 have the previous seat with the dual screens. Thank you for replying! I was really curious to know which seat A7-ALS had.
TAP Air Portugal is a full service carrier, but there's only buy on board catering for intra-Europe flights. The baggage allowance also depends on the fare type purchased. On my 2 flights with them I was impressed with the good service onboard by the cabin crew, as well as a coordinated effort by the ground crew at Lisbon to guide connecting passengers with short transit times. Hope it help!
@@cryogenicflare5040 Wow that's such a nice coincidence! I usually prefer to seat at the rear but pre-booked this seat for the view of the engine as it was my first time flying on a A321NEO.
@@dolphinair764ER oooo I see! This was also my first time on an A321neo but I just booked the cheapest seats :'). Would love to book a seat with a good engine view some day though. Thank you for this video!
340 such a slow climber but one of the safest plane out there. It has been so long since I was on 340 but at the end of the month I will take this same flight with 340. How was the food and service on your flight?
Hey Peter, indeed the A340 is the very epitome of being slow & steady 😂. I had upgraded to Premium Economy for this sector and the food was quite decent. Mains were a choice of Braised beef with mushroom perl onion sauce & potato gratin, or Chicken tikka masala with pulao rice & dal. A soy poached chicken with Asian achar & chickpea salad appetizer and a mango cake with Kit Kat chocolate rounded up the evening meal. Breakfast was a single choice of scrambled egg with ratatouille, mushroom & roast potatoes with a strawberry yoghurt. In economy class it was the usual (only) choice of vegetarian penne pasta in tomato sauce, and a less premium serving of the premium economy breakfast. Service wise was typically Lufthansa - professional & pleasant but not outstanding like on some flights I had with them. Calls were typically answered very quickly which might have to do with the light loads on this flight. Hope it helps and enjoy your flight!
@@dolphinair764ER Thank you for your reply, I will fly premium economy and it looks like their PE is very similar now to what was it before. I also experienced no smiles from the crew then but efficient and helpful and the food was OK. So just the plane changed. That is good.
