The Center for Innovative GYN Care advanced laparoscopic GYN surgeons, founded by Dr. Paul MacKoul and Dr. Natalya Danilyants, have redefined the meaning of minimally invasive GYN surgery. We have developed innovative and revolutionary GYN techniques to simplify even the most complicated surgical procedures for conditions like fibroids or endometriosis. Our specialists use the CIGC exclusive LAAM technique to perform laparoscopic myomectomy for fertility. LAAM uses only 2 small incisions, and women recover in less than 2 weeks. The advanced DualPortGYN technique is used to perform procedures like laparoscopic hysterectomy and endometriosis excision with two 5 mm incisions, and recovery is 1 week.

Discover why women travel from across the globe for CIGC’s exclusive GYN procedures: learn about our travel program. To book a consultation with CIGC founders Dr. Paul MacKoul and Dr. Natalya Danilyants, call 888-SURGERY or contact us online at innovativegyn.com.

My wife and I both continue to this day to suffer, as the result of having both of my wife’s healthy, functioning ovaries removed by Paul Mackoul, MD in November 2013. My wife ha suffered irreversible damage as the result of that surgery in November 2013. It should also be noted, that on 7 September 2018, Paul Mackoul, MD was charged by the Maryland State Board of Physicians Disciplinary Panel A as follows (Case # 2016-0842A): • Unprofessional conduct in the practice of medicine • Gross overutilization of healthcare services • Failure to meet appropriate standards for delivery of quality medical care. Maryland State Board Disciplinary Panel A did find Paul Mackoul, MD guilty of each of the charges listed above, including gross overutilization of healthcare services, which is a tool to create financial incentives. To add insult to injury, Paul Mackoul, MD filed a lawsuit against my wife on 13 June 2024. In all my years, I have never heard of a doctor suing their patient.

I’m surprised to be the only comment, but I feel compelled to tell my story. On 12/20/19 I had a full hysterectomy by Dr. Mackoul. It was nothing like I expected. Months prior to my surgery, I read (HysterSisters.com) other women’s experiences with different procedures. Namely, the Divinci /robotic laporscopic procedure..the recovery is up to 6 weeks, you may have up to 6 incisions and some other organs (colon, bladder, nerve endings) could be nicked/damaged. Well, This was my first time EVER being operated on. In the end, I felt NO pain...meaning I didn’t take any pain meds AT ALL (I left it at CVS). I had only two incisions (1 in the navel, 1 below the bikini line). I was up and walking within one-two days, and I was up and running briskly again within 1 week. Based on so many blogs, where women had the robotic surgery (4-6 incisions with more than 2 weeks recovery time), I kept waiting for the “other shoe to drop”..Only because I had my first surgery ever. Yet, here I am, 1 month later and nothing. I’m back to running daily. This Doctor was a game changer in my life. Dr. Mackoul does not use robotic surgery at all! Yet his procedure is a game changer. He was out of network for my insurance (BCBS). luckily I had put a sizable amount aside in my flex spending account. Therefore, I paid 2K from flex spending and we have planned to work on the future billing for the remaining amount (1K). That’s it! Whatever the insurance pays (or doesn’t pay), you’re not required to pay any additional amount. Ladies..PLEASE do your research. If you have questions, please contact me. I will answer. I’m truly overwhelmed by my experience because I’ve read so many negative remarks about hysterectomies. If you cant get to this doctor..maybe call their office and see if they can recommend someone in your area who performs the same procedure.

E P Hello! your story is so compelling and motivating for me. I was recommended to have a hysterectomy about six years ago. I put it off because I didn’t want to be out of work for six weeks and I didn’t want to have a large incision. But over time my fibroids have just grown worse and bigger. I now have them at the size of a six month pregnancy. It seems in the six years that I have waited new procedures have come about and this is one of them by Dr. Mackoul. I feel like the universe was making me wait until a new procedure was created. I am meeting with a doctor next week who, within the last five years, has been trained on laparoscopic surgery for hysterectomys. I’ve been told that she doesn’t do the large incision. So I am going to consult with her first but if I don’t like what I hear then I’m going to contact Dr. M. I am surprised to hear how inexpensive your surgery was with him. It was only about $3000? I was thinking it was going to be way more than that because I know he’s going to be out of network for me. The most exciting part of your story is the short recovery time and lack of pain.

So with this procedure, once the fibroid is cut away from the uterus, the fibroid is removed from the body whole instead of being destroyed while inside the body?
@TheCenterforInnovativeGYNCare
@TheCenterforInnovativeGYNCare 4 года назад
Yes, fibroids are removed laparoscopically from the uterus.

So then this is a vaginal access procedure, meaning you take the cervix out during the procedure, correct? I have read that that can cause problems with the pelvic floor muscles and in turn the bladder, which is concerning. I have also read that many women choose to save their cervix for sexual satisfaction purposes. Can this procedure be done whilst sparing the cervix, or does that require the additional incision?
@dlatteri2766
@dlatteri2766 4 года назад
No. There are visuals they cut above and below small incisions.
@lockergr
@lockergr 4 года назад
dlatteri2766 So this procedure then leaves the cervix? I knew they made cuts above, but that doesn't change the fact that those may just be guides and things still may be removed vaginally.
