I have established this channel to develop my skills at filming and editing short videos, and give back to the DIY community on RU-vid that I have leveraged over the years to help with my projects. Although heavily focused on minor maintenance and repairs on vehicles, my aim is to focus more generally on DIY jobs that can be tackled by home-owners, vehicle owners, and more generally on those that endeavour to repair their own things. I will be doing maintenance and repairs on my 2013 Mazda 3, 2012 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2005 Honda Pilot initially, but plan to continue to expand as I eventually sell these vehicles and purchase new ones. I will continue to ensure that I provide not only information on how I performed the DIY work, but also on costs and savings so others can determine if the effort was worth the savings. Cheers.
The way you clean the throttle body is the wrong way to go. You don't even have to spray the cleaner into the engine, because what you do is spray some of the liquid directly into the engine. You have to completely dismantle the part. And while you're at it, clean the MAF sensor too, which is easier to clean.
I didn'5t really come to pee on your parade, but the DeLonge model actually uses the Invader NECK pickup, not the bridge. They are really both quite different, as the neck has a capacitor built into it which cuts off the deep lows.
I was well aware of this theory in advance of doing this pick up exchange. I considered the evidence for each and decided that the bridge pickup was in fact more likely. Fender has re-released the strat and it comes with the bridge version and interviews with Tom's own guitar technician have indicated that it was the bridge pick up that was installed on the guitars that he actually played.
bought this bike off marketplace...took of the front wheel to get into my car...put it back on at home and notice the front tire is touching the curve part of the front fork...and then figured out the reason for the two centre treads to be worn out...how to fix or adjust? I have a video too!
The tire should not come into contact with the fork in the manner you are describing. Is there a chance that there is a 29 inch tire instead of a 27.5 inch tire on the bike?
@@DIYNorth that’s why I kept it inside as I did not want wires to be pinched by the tailgate/rear door or exposed to the elements under the bumper. Keep that Pathfinder running strong! With proper maintenance, it should last another 10 years!
Great fix for this pesky problem!!! And if you don’t have a back-up camera, here’s how you install one: Installing Backup Camera on the Rear Door or Hatch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FEwLdyJKMdE.html
I wish I saw your video first I am in the middle of getting my vacuum back together and the white gear I didn’t need to take off is really hard to put back in place 😢 I’m trying to take a break and try again ❤
I just spent hours trying to troubleshoot what looks like this problem. My new build was all working with all the components and igpu but I was waiting on my GPU arriving. Plug it and can't get a display or into bios or anything. Unplug it and I can. So I'm going to try this but I'm confused re the driver download. How does the BIOS know whether the drivers are installed? Are you talking about some MSI drivers as opposed to AMD ones? Or somehow AMD drivers included boot information?
AMD ones. I'm not sure why but every once in a while I've had this issue. It boot as a basic display adapter without the bios...but sometimes it doesn't. Yes I switch back to peg
@@DIYNorth ah man I did this and now it just loads a non flashing underscore on a black screen. Take the GPU out and it boots to windows as normal. So it's the same but I get the _ now. Any ideas? This is a total nightmare
@@MrAlanMacdonald have you ever updated you motherboard bios? You can check the available bios on the brands website and see if there are any necessary updates. Sometimes clearing the CMOS also fixes a lot of problems, but then you need to reset things later.
@@DIYNorth thanks but I had already tried the latest to try and solve the problems. I can't get past this. I took the riser cable out the equation and same issue. As far as I can tell MSI bios is defective because they literally have a setting to ignore the discrete GPU and when you turn it on it still has problems with the discrete GPU connected then works with it off. If anyone reading this has any idea please let me know. At this point I don't even know if I should send the GPU back or the mobo. It feels like the MSI bios is fully awful and defective
@@DIYNorth gotcha thanks man, ive got the xmas tree but no CEL. im slowly working through every sensor little by little. Replaced about 5 so far. figure its a new to me car but its like 20 years old with 100k its worth doin it all and takin it up to 300k god willing
I would say not really. You can play low gain stuff at very reasonable volumes but it does get a bit loud at high gain. It is possible to dial in something reasonable. I think the micro dark has an effects loop and if you went high gain with that and had something that could back the volume down a bit in the effects loop it might be better.
Thank you for posting. I know I'm asking 9 months later but when you got it all plugged in, did it start up the first time? I just installed and double checked all plugs and it won't turn on. Previous radio worked fine so wires are good. Any thoughts?
Update…. I decided to try a new fuse and that was it! Somehow the fuse blowed when I removed the OEM. Replaced the fuse, it started right up. Thanks again!
I have old pc pentium proccer When i add new graphic card only show bios not loading windows And if i use the internal port in motherboard it works fine when i plug out the new GPU
This got to be mechanic so smooth, great steps thanks i find when knock sensor get very old, even it doesn’t give you code, replacing is a great idea or you will consume more fuel and engine doesn’t perform as well
It works i was getting a black screen when trying to load up a ps2 game if that’s your problem you got to go to the homebrew page and download the CONFIG database & PS2 Classics Launcher then it should work. I use CFW on a slim this is how i got it to work and you dont have to switch to multiman over and over
Lucky for you your fuel rail just came right out. I was not so lucky. This thing is stuck like super glue. It will be a pain to get it out without damaging it.
@@DIYNorth Tie rods are pretty straightforward. I replaced mine but decided to do inner & outer since my pathfinder was over 100K miles. I noticed a lot of suspension components just naturally worn out from regular driving. Just thought I mention it so it could possibly help you out. Not sure how many miles you have on your pathfinder but something to consider instead of readdressing something you already done once.
Did you use the supplied "electrostatic" clear film squares (deckled edges) on the windows prior to sticking the camera with the supplied 3m adhesive square? Some other videos show the poster using those and some don't. My kit jus t arrived from Amazon today and I plan to install into my 2013 Honda Civic (four door sedan) on the weekend. I'm fairly confident about doing the install but just trying to see if those things were necessary. Hoping I might get away without using them. I do plan to power the camera and look at the view (via the JarvisCam App) before I mount in it's final position. Thank you for any suggestions you may have. Regards from Winnipeg! P.S. I recognized 401 and Yonge St. before you even named them. :)
No I didn't use the films that came with it. They seem to stick fine. Everytime I'm in Winnipeg I go to the pancake house and try to eat the giant apple pancake.
thank you my next project :) Any chance your have the torque spec for the bolt on the tensioner ? I’m going to replace the tensioner as well and for the life of me i can not find the torque spec on the bolt :( I tried buying the book you mentioned but amazon don’t sell it …
great video ! tackling this one next (tomorrow) did you wait 24 hours after using the thread sealant ? I bought some sealant but It says to wait 24 hours just curious if I should use it . Off topic how’s your mileage ? Computer aside I get about 350-360km on a full tank in the city just wondering if that’s normal or low seems a bit low :( I measure by resetting the B trip after filling as the computer seems ways off says i’m at 20L/100km atm l!
Thanks! My key fob looked like yours on the outside, but didn't have the transponder separately, so I lucked out. Still, it was good to see what I might have to do and what to look for. Your video gave me the confidence to dive in and get it done. I did keep all the old parts, just in case LOL And, I tested it in the car right away, too. So nice to have a solid-feeling key again instead of a wiggly one held together by tape and feeling like it'd fall apart any minute.
I know he gave two terms for that white plastic piece on the back but I can't locate this info online. I have a whirlpool can someone please assist?! I need to figure it out so I can replace it 😅
My monitor has been flickering continuously after boot up and when I check after removing gpu the monitor works fine. Is my gpu faulty? Also the monitor still works fine with gpu after 30 minutes of bootup..wierd..right?
