The conservation of our natural ecosystems has never been more crucial, with almost 8 billion people on the planet. But what does “Conservation” in the modern world require?

Dan Cabela sets out on a journey across the globe to explore the “Hard Truths Of Conservation” with a host of experts in vastly different contexts. The idea that Sustainable Use can play a vital role in preserving habitat for wildlife and sustaining communities alike is an impossible statement to many people. The benefits of treating wildlife resources as renewable and valuable are concepts that seem complex and yet, when unpacked in a highly entertaining format, become difficult to argue.

From how the practice manages healthy wildlife populations, provides employment and prevents illegal poaching to the role wildlife has played in our diet. Dan participates in hands-on conservation initiatives funded by sportsmen and shares the reality of areas supported by sustainable use on the ground.

I am reminded of a qoute for LEO/ MIL " What a loving God we must serve, that ensures each generation is supplied with such men, such giants, those willing to March towards the sounds of the guns; for without them we would surely be damned." Without such men, such giants like the Cabelas family, willing to preserve our wildlife and our hunting foundations..our world would be forever lost.

Amazing film. I love my deer population and if something is making them sick, I would want to know the research and studies have been done to preserve the population. Look how the scabies and mange have affected the Ibex in Spain. We have to take steps to stay in front of change.

Incredible documentary! My mother and I were there is Sept for 12 game species. We had the opportunity to travel and see them collecting black impala for sale. We also got the opportunity to provide food for the locals and help the locals. S.A has always been in my heart and i cant wait to see it again. Please keep these videos coming!

Excellent documentary! Im headed to NZ in May for Stag. Ive looked forward to hunting here for 5yrs. I will be returning next year for Tarh...its great to see a expanded perspective on the management and need for proper governing of this wildlife to balance the financial benefits and game management. Beautifil footage as well!

Before anyone says anything they are helping this fawn. If you look closely one of its ears is curled back. This is a sign that its been alone too long and mama is probably not coming back, and its dehydrated.
