Its a dance. The D7 commander have to keep the CA at range so the Psh1's on the CA are less effective, plus dodge further out for photon torpedo runs. Then the D7 has to close in on odd turns to maximize Ph-II and disruptor bolt fire. The D7 has an advantage becuase the disruptor bolt range at 5-15 hexes being the same it can always fire at long range better than CA. And there is a "happy medium" where Ph-IIs are as good as PH-1's and the D7 has more ph's with better arcs than the CA. A D& should be able to "take apart" a Fed CA. Usually the battle ends with the fed CA warping out after losing a shield, taking some minor damage and warping out.; IMO , a fair fight is the D7 vs a Fed CC becuase of the 2 extra 360 Ph-i's. The Fed CA just doesn't have the firepower or power to go up against a D7 , except for landing a possible overloaded photon torpedo run at close range, and a D7 has to basically walk into that.
Incredible. I just got a quest 2 and thought "I bet the freespace modders have come up with something" and here I am. This game is never going to die, it's like Doom.
hey, i tried the vr mod sucsessfully, but i noticed that the gamma seems like reduced in vr. the plaets and background seems low color palette, and textures too... very poor shades of color. is there a common issue or do you knoow any fix for that? mani thanka
Holy shit. I never thought he'd turn on him! I thought they shared the same views, as it's shown that he was on the new cruiser near the Black Lance starbase, that, under specific circumstances, would capture Blair and label him a Confed traitor. I may be mixing things up, because I didn't get that ending myself, and am just going off of other videos I've seen uploaded.
The Klingon is lucky that in the cadet game, the Fed CA only has TWO photons and no overloads. Because 4 overloaded photons at that range, IIRC, could do up to 64 points of damage. (1-5 on a d6 to hit, I believe, so it's not improbable all 4 hit.) I played this game constantly in HS, when it was the earliest boxed edition. I still buy the newer books to fill out my collection, but very rarely get to play. Finally got a chance last year at GenCon, got my arse handed to me because I was too overconfident about plasmas vs. drones. Maybe I'll do better this year, if they hold the event again.

Plus, I think this show did change a handful of pre-recorded siren sounds on the recycled and dubbed "Rescue 911" segments.

The one with the side view of the Enterpise? Sure, why not? I think an HD version is included with the Director's Edition Blu-ray of TMP along with other displays made for TMP and used in TWoK instead. :-)

How can I get this to work with MediaVPs upgraded graphics? I select the VR build and enable VR in the MediaVPs mod but when it launches to VR I can only hear audio and see a black screen. It works if I launch the VR mod directly but then it only has the default graphics.
