Looks really good! For extra flavor, you might try using chicken broth in place of water and a few tablespoons of cornstarch mixed in well for thicker gravy. Just a couple of ideas from a southern girl who loves gravy😊
Looks pretty good, Sir. Has all the ingredients I love about breakfast like you said, what more could you want except for a glass of milk or a cup of coffee ☕? I'm going to have to give it a try instead of doing everything separately. Only one question about the package gravy, I usually use the pioneer brand pepper gravy mix. Did you go to the second step of cooking it beforehand and then letting it cool down before adding everything in the casserole like that sausage and bacon, or just mix it up in the cold water and then add it to the top before adding the eggs and cheese?
They turned out really good looking! Yummy 😋 I love bread, biscuits anything like that! Thank you for sharing this recipe! Bless you and your family!🙏🐑✝️❤️🙂
I've always made good biscuits, but these are the BEST I HAVE EVER MADE, and with way less trouble, too! Thank you! I've started doubling the recipe and putting one pan into the freezer because my family eats them faster than I can make them!
I have never tried using buttermilk. I know you can in some recipes but just not sure about this one. If you do try it let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching
This was my favorite breakfast when I was in the Army and especially on a cold morning when we were in the field and the cook trucks would come out to where we were. I have made it many times since then and your recipe gave me some new ideas... Thanks! Oh yes and your method of removing excess grease from the skillet is a good one.
We prepare this many times. Easy to make and delicious. When we were kids in school in the later 50s and mid 60s; our cafeteria lady made this every week. She served it over mashed potatoes and a side of buttered bread. Occasionally she offered a second side of greenbeans. There was very little food wasted on those days.
We had that same thing so many times growing up... sometimes over toast or biscuits and sometimes over mash potatoes or rice. It never fails to satisfy especially when we're young and hungry all the time. Lol
It is the small box. If you are having trouble with it setting double the sure jel. As I mentioned in the video, watermelon jelly is one of the hardest things to make because it is hard to get to set. If it doesn’t set you can reprocess it with more sure jel. I think it is 3 Tbsp per pack size box. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
The different directions or for if you have 6 cups of watermelon juice or if you only have enough for 3 cups. Use the directions for whichever you have 3 or 6 cups of juice
So how often do you have those childhood memories ? Probably need to have them a Least three ,four , five , six times a year . Seven times a year is a great number of times to be having those childhood memories !
I sure am going to have to make one of those pies... Never heard of them before but it sure looks like it would be good... Also a good pie to make in the summer when you don't want to use the oven and heat up the house. Thanks!
Can you use fresh lemon juice in this recipe if you have an overabundance of lemons? 😆 I'm going to try making watermelon rind preserves with the leftover rind as well (chickens are getting the mashed up pulp and seeds 😊). Trying not to waste anything 🙂
The only problem with using fresh lemon juice when canning is that the acidity in the lemon is different with each lemon. Sometimes it is high enough and sometimes not. That is why you should always use bottled lemon juice when canning. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
I cant say much for this . We didn't care for it. The fritos got soggy and I will fix it differently next time not put my fritos in and put the chili and cheese and onions on at the end on top of fritos that way it will stay crunchy 👍
