Yea you can't trust those tracking numbers. You know why all the companies ship through the usps even though they suck? … it's because nobody else can handle "last mile delivery" FedEx and UPS will take 30% of their packages and pawn them off to the post office. They call it "SmartPost" and they basically lie telling you it's been delivered or will be there soon because they simply can't get it done. So what they do is they throw it to the post office and everyone points at the USPS as the blame puppet. The USPS was and still is Amazon's shipping bitch boy. Since Amazon has been trying to do more last mile delivery on their own, they're starting to get a really bad rep too of mistreated and lost packages. The trick of it was, before amazon "prime" MOST things bought through catalog or over the phone would say..."allow 3 to 6 weeks for shipping and handling" They never would tell you..."expect it Wednesday" So if it was a few days late you would NEVER know. But now that real time tracking is a thing people want precision predictions and when it doesn't happen they get reeeeeeaaaally mad because you just gave them an expectation that they're relying on. The simple truth is, they shouldn't. Customers are spoiled with home delivery and business are trying their best to appease them with promises they can't keep. When realistically they should be tell people..."Your stuff should get here maybe next week or the week after that at the latest." instead of "thanks for your order! It'll arrive Tuesday!" Like how do they know that? Think about it....they're not the ones who will be driving it around and walking it your door step. They just sell it to you. Yet, they're telling you when it's going to get there?! yeah...great job Amazon.
