I *need* weed to sleep but I don't need to be vaping all day. I stop using weed and it's like "oh yeah, this is what it was like when I didn't smoke weed, this suuuucks, I am unable to function" (even after months of sobriety) Edibles don't usually work for me because of absorption issues. But I can't only vape at night, if I'm vaping at all, I'm vaping all day, because it's a physically ritualistic habit that I've had for years. But I've been eating or drinking MCT oil infused with ~alternative cannabinoids~ a few hours before bed time and it's been working pretty well, when I actually do take it. "Medication adherence" is a problem for me. It's one of the reasons weed works so well: I'm highly incentivized to take it because it's fun to take it. With the oil I don't get the instant gratification of vaping, so it's more difficult for me to take it on time and sometimes I skip it. I get all "I don't *wanna* take my meds." I'm gonna mix it into ice cream pops I think. I've managed to fully kick the vaping habit though.
I've quit the 6 of june 2022. Smoked 15 years before that. Good on you! Can't say my memory and motivation got better, but losed a lot of weight and anxiety for sure!
Artificial Intelligence. I get the 'artificial' bit, but I'm struggling on the 'intelligence' bit. Tbh it seems very much like a lot of hype, and a money making exercise in money making. If that is the case (and it very much is), then they are very much succeeding. Some folk believe that we will get to AGI. Lolmfao. AI can't even control 4 interconnected wheels on a 2D plane, and they've been throwing other people's money at the 'problem' for years. Grow a pair (of hemispheres) and see it for what it is. Yea, it does lovely pictures (ripped off from at the artists who have put their art online) and the music (ripped off from the internet etc...) is almost passable, which is what sold it, but what I see is the huge profits that these companies are making for themselves and no one else. This is pure capitalism, but the AI folk try and make it out to be progress for all. It ain't. Or maybe I'm hallucinating....
Hell yeah, good for you! Quitting anything is hard, especially an addictive substance. Takes some real effort, you go girl! I’m excited to see what deviously great content you make next!
AI is a misnomer. It doesn't have a clue what it's doing. Hallucinating is a creative way to say it's gone wrong. It isn't all bad but much of it is hype and a money maker for tech companies. Ask Sam Altman.
I’ve found it’s particularly horrible with linguistics. Probably something about the phonetic symbols being more uncommon and therefore more unpredictable, but it’s just wildly wrong all the time
haven't watched the video, don't know who you are but I love this aesthetic so fucking much it's utterly concerning and interestingly vague all the same. thank you for existing and being like this.
How is it that both Brave's Leo and Bing's Assistant are capable of giving normal effing answers and then there's Google? Is it about Gemini/GPT distinction or what?
AI will end up exactly how crypto/NFTs did. It gets popular in a niche market, tech bros oversell the shit out of it, companies add it to their products that didn’t need it, we blow it out of proportion, and in a few years we’ll mostly forget about it. Another thing was smart devices and voice assistants. I remember when Microsoft released Cortana with Windows 10, and they deprecated it within a few years because nobody used it. I reckon Windows Copilot will meet a similar fate. Windows 11 sucks balls for a variety of reasons. The Google AI does demonstrate pretty well how unusable a lot of the modern web is. We need more personal websites! These social media sites aren’t suitable anymore. Learn HTML and code it in Notepad! Get a free host! No need for SquareSpace. I am a human being. 9:38.
You have to add "reddit" to the end of every google search anyways to get something useful. At least Google is helping us get to that information faster. Leading a horse to u/fucksmith, if you will.
I had switched to bing just to use their AI feature because it made gathering info while writing papers for school a lot faster and it generally provided good sources and summarized information. of course sometimes id have to double check the numbers it provided because it can switch them up accidentally but I never had any ridiculous responses like these. You can really tell that google is struggling to keep up in the consumer market when it comes to AI, they released their tool WAY too early
