Awesome video mate Bought my first rollergun an (Aimrite envy 95) about six months ago blown away what it can do Thinking of getting a bigger one What size gun did you use to take down the Saily?
👍 Amazing! Not just the footage but all the FREE training you are providing us! Kudos and thanks! ↑ Comment for your algorithm + 👍 'd + *_Sub'd!_* #OldManPaxus Rating: ★★★★ Aside robotic-style of reading your own narration script 😄😉, this was AMAZING! !!!... actually music volume could be lower too (compared to ur voice, it's a bit much to hear u... Something i can never get right myself! 😉 Nowadays i just always make music really low and usually boost voice recordings..)
No love for Meandros reels?? Demos are you there with that tuna? haha Your shooting line makes a huge difference, jacketed Dynema is much bulkier and harder to spool correctly. Do you use a line guide? Don't!
Yeah bro for sure, as well as holding position and moving toward them if needed, anything to not look like prey… they are a different fish for sure though! Definitely feel like your on the menu around them more than only other shark! 🤙
HA HAHAHAHHAHA i have used this track on gaming vids!!! ("The End is Near" by Gunnar Olsen) Just trying to figure out where u guys are based from...(Where in Oz, i mean...IF u guys are in Australia...u sound like Aussies).... I'm 50 and have been living a rather unhealthy lifestyle and am thinking about what my best choices would be. I used to surf and LOVE EVERYTHING about the Ocean. As a teen i LOVED snorkeling around here in WA (Kallaroo to Triggs & even Rottnest Island. Snorkled all the way up past Kalbarri too. Did a TINY bit of spearing with a gidgee so i know i'd have the skills. Can hold my breath fairly well do since i do Wim Hof Breathing...) ^ Can't stop rambling apparently but anyway...yeh, i don't have a boat or anything and wonder who i should talk to.
We are based in Vanuatu now… this vid was from Norfolk Island. There are plenty of opportunities for great eating fish from the shore, good to go enquire at a free-dive/spearfishing club near you for some pointers in the right direction for you local waters 🤙
Tutorial as well???! WOAH, 1st time i saw one of your vids (i think....i watch so many different vids i can't be 100% sure), i thought it was like other amazing and beautiful footage of hunting under water but to be giving narrated tips of how and why you're doin' what you do!?!! WOW!!! Marvelous! - ALL of it! Kinda surprised you're not one of those HUGE channels, u know the ones with 10's, 100's or 500k+ subs! Ahhh... i see - probably YT algorithm.....they prefer regular uploads...it's SO unfair. It's the greed for dollar$... 🤬 Such a shame... coz once upon a time, their algo would simply push the most liked/most popular vids. Anyway, my rant is for your algorithm! 😆
Thanks brother 🙌 Yes there are painted crays and some bugs here, they come in, in numbers at certain times of the year, and can be found in ones or twos throughout the year 🤙
Hey brother, easier to communicate with me on Instagram @deeplyimmersed I’m based out of Port Vila Vanuatu now… running guided diving/spearing trips over here
Thank you for the support… yes we are still living in Vanuatu and running guided spearfishing and freediving trips here. You can see more regularly updated media and stories on Instagram @deeplyimmersed 🤙
Hey brother, the new model that replaces this barrel is the “Envy” it’s a lighter higher volume tube that makes the gun very easy to dive with… it’s a great gun! The main gun I use over here in Vanuatu now… There is also the new vendetta barrel option that you can also choose to have in the 115cm size (which I use) If your going to buy anything from Aimrite international use my name as a discount code for a good saving! “jamieryves”
Epic videos mate! I am in port villa with a mate and would love to come for a dive with you and the team or even to checkout so spots! Let me know if you would be keen. Cheers Jimi
I am going to be there for a week in July - I was wondering where you would recommend to base myself - want to have a combination of shore dives and surfing. Any help greatly appreciated
@@danhardy107 thank you for the comments, yes we are running guided spearfishing trips full time based out of Port Vila Vanuatu… you can further the conversation with me on Instagram/ @deeplyimmersed or email me at: spearfishingvanuatu@gmail.com Thank you again 🙌💙🤙
Haha… I don’t know about the only way!? 😆 but it’s definitely doable in the right instances… deep water definitely lends itself toward the high pressure floats assistance in reaching your intended meal before the toothy opposition take their cut though… but at the end of the day shot placement is king regardless of the set up/gear your holding at the time… Thanks for the comment legend 🙌💙🤙
The reel-guns in this episode are Aimrite “Envy” 115cm roller guns. The blue water gun I was waiting for at this time is the Aimrite “Vendetta” double roller 135cm. 🙌💙🤙
In this footage all fish were taken with an Aimrite “Envy” 115cm, running a 7.5mm spring steel single flopper shaft… The gun runs better with an 8mm double flopper shaft, which hits/penetrates better also… but I was out of stock of that option at this time. 🤙
@@nfislander Of course the 8 is better, but I bet then it's needed a second band. Don't you think a double flopper (asymmetrical) could retain better with those fishes?
@@julesverne5072 Yes double flopper shafts are better shafts all round for every species! But it was not possible for me to dive with a double flopper shaft at this point as they are not available here in Vanuatu, the shipping/freight was not running properly and it was not in my means to make getting any new shafts over here any other way.. This Aimrite “Envy” 115cm single roller gun actually performs best with an 8mm shaft, it doesn’t need a second roller/band as I in Aimrite’s “red” 16mm latex bands which have high energy properties, paired with the high rate of pretension (25cm) that the gun is rigged with, an 8mm shaft can be used with great accuracy and gives great penetration!

Thanks for the support Brother! I like to think of luck as the culmination of commitment, drive/dedication, focus and intention/visualisation… Which is a very busy way of saying with conscious intention and luck anything is possible 😆 🙌💙🤙
