In my channel, you'll find videos and updates on everything related to gardening.
I'll be sharing tips and tricks that I've learned along the way, so you can also create your own garden. Whether you have a huge backyard or just a small balcony, there will be something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
One of my favorite things about gardening is the connection it provides with nature. Being able to witness the beauty of trees, flowers, and various plant life is truly a delight.
Additionally, growing my own veggies and fruits has been a rewarding experience, and eventually harvesting your own fresh produce. There's something incredibly satisfying about plucking a ripe tomato or picking a juicy strawberry from your own garden.
if you have a passion for gardening or simply want to explore the wonders of nature. Lets embark on this garden journey and discover the beauty and tranquility that comes with cultivating our own little piece of paradise. Let's create a beautiful world!
Should have done First stage Pruning lower otherwise the plant will grow huge so thats why the first stage Pruning is done lower if grafted above the area leaving 2shoots below(3-2-3-2 Branching pruning order 4stages of pruning). If you want the plant to be around 10feet or small and easy to maintain than prune it lower and keep 3new shoots than once those 3shoots grow and mature do the 2nd stage Pruning and than let all the 3pruned branches grow 2shoots each and so on..Pluck off the Flowers main thing is pruning vegetative growth and making sure it takes shape in a 3-2-3-2 branching order and than in 2 or 3years youll have plenty mangoes to enjoy.
You're doing a great job, the garden is coming along nicely. You seem to have such great results even at your old home in the past Are you going to make lollipop hydrangea trees again? (Was that hydrangea?). 🙂
@SpaceCadet4Jesus thank you! I appreciate your kind words. Yes I would like to make more lollipop hydrangeas and butterfly trees. My goal is to fill this whole property with different types of gardens with the plants that I can grow. How are you and your garden?
@@simplegardening6196 I'm doing well, but this year my deck container garden isn't much to speak of. Tomatoes are not prolific at all and carrots are "Honey, I shrunk the kids" variety. The radishes are normal, perhaps I should just grow radishes. Hoping the melons come out or that I get any at all. As for the front yard, I planted large leaf basil, not the most beautiful but the neighbors commented on the beautiful smells. I cannot find the time to make such a beautiful arrangement as you do, but you do give me hope to get out there and do something, if not small. Thanks!
@JhourladEstrella that's my original thought but I do believe there are new varieties that self pollinate. This one bare fruit on its own without another plant. But with more plants you get more fruit so why not have more??? Lol. Thank you for stopping by.
@@mademoiselle71 hi. Thank you for stopping by. It does require a little sunlight to give it that amazing purple color. I find when I put min in full shade that the color is not as brilliant. Just not enough to scorch the leaves.
Got 2 (1gal) pots of new cuttings fr friend yesterday & planning to propagate, thanks for the video. Have to edit till it has more branches. I hope these will help w/ the mosquitoes. Thank youuu ❤
Hi. Thanks for stopping by. Mine is over 5 feet tall and about 4 feet wide!!!!! Lol, first year was a bit rough, but after they settle in for the year, they get massive!!! So give them room. I had to move mine twice due to growth. They are sooo beautiful. You will really enjoy them.
It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Thank you so much for sharing. Very nice garden. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey.🙏
You've accidentally cross pollinated to create a new flower. Quick, document it, attach your name to it and you'll be famous. Not sure you're going to get rich off of it but hey one out of two ain't bad. 😊 ( if you don't know, certainly I don't know) 😅
I had the same thing happen in my garden this year. I have no flowers at all just clumps like your plants have. I am not sure what to do with it. I think I should pull it so it doesn't spread to my other plants in case it is diseased. What will you do?
I have been researching and found out that it could be aster disease. Which is fungal and it can spread. I think we may need to remove to stop the spread to the healthy plants in our garden. I am sad. I never had this happened before. I wish u best of luck!!!
Good Morning Simple -- What is the Tree behind you ? (4:52) and how long ago did you plant it into the Ground? Looks like its making Fruit pretty nice. Happy Growing!!!
@kchedville hi. Thank you for stopping by. The tree behind me is my granny Smith apple tree. This is the 3rd year I have it and it's in it current location for a 2 years now. It has lots of apples on it and I can't wait to eat it with caramel!!! My favorite about the granny smith apple. Do you have fruit trees in your garden?
@@simplegardening6196 Hi Simple and thanks for the Reply. I've tried Apples here but they do not survive for some reason. Yes I have in Pots but others in the Ground for just a couple years now - My Browns Select Satsuma i had to protect thru winter and it lost all its leaves before summer arrived, but they grew back quick and them made hundreds of Blooms then little Satsumas but they all but 2 over time fell to the ground - not sure what happened there, I am thinking maybe lack of a Nutrient or just maybe cause of the Winter. Also have Banana Trees (that can not fruit cause winter comes early here it seems ,, Also have 2 Fruit bearing Loquat Trees and the big on produced so much this summer and they were very nice in size for the first time.. I have a Chocolate Sapote Tree in a pot which i have outside in the summer weather and its a very very slow grower- it maybe 1.5 feet tall, but it have big shiny Green Leaves. And I have a few Papaya Trees growing in Pots but i do not expect them to produce since summer ends too quick for them and they don't seem to like being inside in a Semi Warm Sun Room which does not get as warm as I would like it to. I have a few Species of Bamboo growing also since i moved here in 2006, my biggest being the Japanese Timber and its competitor Giant Moso, I started the Moso from seed around the year 2000 and it was maybe 2 inches tall (two Pots) and after Katrina came along where we use to live i saved them and brought them here to plant and grow them here and now I have a huge Grove in the back of the Property some as tall as 60 feet and 4-5 inches in diameter. Each year when the sprout new shoots i go out ever few days and just knock over the ones i do not want to spread, so Running Bamboo can be controlled if you make a small effort to control it. My Passion Purple Passion Fruits plants doing Great - they already have fruit growing on the two latest ones i planted just over a month ago. I made a comment to you in once of your recent Videos just a few days ago. Have a nice day -- daylight almost here.
I just bought my 1st rooted purple shield and I didn’t want to buy more so now I know where I’m going to put my potted purple shield to see if it likes the area before I plant it and I can propagate it when it’s bigger. Thanks for the info and wish me luck! I’m in zone 9b in gulf coast so it should like my humidity but I’ll be careful of where I put it in the sun.
@fizzimajig yay!!! Good luck and I hippy you get lots more. They are beautiful and I take enjoy the color they bring to the garden. They do prefer shade much more than sun. Enjoy!!!
I have a coneflower which is so beautiful, huge flowers and smell like honey. The big fluffy bees 🐝 love it too. My friend wants it too. So I was looking on RU-vid how to propagate coneflowers and came across your video. Your garden is lovely, I wish I had that much space as i propagate hydrangeas, roses, lilies, phlox, you name it 😆 Thank you!
@NN-sd9fu oh your coneflower sounds heavenly! Your sweet to propogate for her. They also easily grow from seed if you don't want to divide up your plants. Good luck!!! I have a new variety but i am not sure if it will give seeds as it's a hybrid.
I buried kitchen all scraps in the soil. Now more than 10 plants pumped out. No space for all. Probably keep three. I have to remove a few roses to make space for papaya trees.
Well done. Thanks for saving those plants. I have hundreds of spider lilies, hundreds of jonquils, hundreds of hardy amaryllis(johnsonii), and all were salvaged from the wild. My priority is the well-being of the plant.
Hi Simple, I think you have there is the Blue Crown Passion Flower (Passiflora Caerulea), Notice the Leaves compared to the Purple Passion Flower (Passiflora Incarnata) (Cold Hardy). I have a couple of each growing very vigorous.
@@simplegardening6196 Did not make any fruit yet if not this year next i hope. I have 4 plants growing on a 16ft long , 8 foot tall trellis.. I am pretty sure i have 2 Caerulea and 2 Incarnata... they producing lots of gorgeous flowers. Happy Growing....
Hi Simple -- how old is your Passion Fruit Vines --- I have the 2 plants (Passiflora incarnata, cold hardy) (less than a few Months old) and they already have grown to the top of my 8ft tall Trellis and producing loads of Flowers. The Bees and Butterflies visit them each morning. Am just curios if they will produce Fruit quickly. Your Garden looking GREAT....
I tore all of the 8 year old shrubs from our yard leaving only the palm trees and hibiscus. I am planting only pollinator plants specifically for hummingbirds and butterflies. I bought two of these plants for $7.95 each and they are big and beautiful! I plant to start a bunch of cuttings so I can plant them all down the side of my home in my hummingbird garden. Thank you for sharing this!
Hey, thank you for stopping by. Generally, I'll divid them spring or fall. Preferably before they flower so as to not stress them out. Spring is a good time as they start to come up and they are easier to divide. Fall time after you cut back is also good, but roots are bigger and sometimes more tangle. I hope this helps.
How is this doing now? I am in 8b/9a Etsy shop GreenAnoleFarms. I had one of these feom Homestead, FL that died. They are pretty sensitive. Soursop and Durian are tougher.
Hi! Thanks for sharing this information. Can you just plant the cuttings in a small pot and let it grow from there? Or do you have to start them off like you did and then transplant?
Hi. Thank you for stopping by. You can plant in a pot and leave it. I did it this way because I usually take cuttings, and I didn't have enough big pots to give them individual homes until I knew they took roots. Good luck with yours.
Looks like some yummy Fruit over there Simple -- can you do me a favor? could you send me a Link to where you get your Bug Protection Bags for your Guava , I have a few growing on my plant and one is almost the size of a Softball. Thanks in advance.
I am sorry I'm not so tech savvy. I purchased my fruit protection bag on Amazon. It's still there when I check just now, but it's not allowing me to copy or share the link. I hope you get to taste yours once it's rippen!!! That is soo exciting. The fruit was soo fresh and so delicious over there. I purchase the fruits almost daily and snack on them. It was so cheap and such a healthy living lifestyle. Great job in growing your own...good luck.
Sadly, no. It was a hard winter, and with the move, I forgot to take extra measures to ensure it's survival. But I am going to try again once my greenhouse is better set up in the new place
Is it the height u desire, or do you want it to be taller? If it's the height you want. Tip it from that point, and it will produce more branching.. and hopefully, with more branches comes more fruits. Good luck.
Looks can be deceiving...you won't get 5 minutes of sleep. The driver will honk the horn every 10 seconds as he risks all lives on board weaving in and out of traffic on poorly lit roads. Just fly or take a taxi.
We actually enjoyed the experience, but you are right on the honking part. I did like the bed concept, and it was nice to travel at night and wake to in a new town and not burn a day traveling.
