@@jrooshthe issue isnt the 1.5 swr its using the amp to tune the tuner if that is whats happening. No audio so hard to tell if its tuning or modulation from talking. If its from modulation thats fine as long as the swr doesnt go too high on peaks. If its tuning the tuner then those finals will get weak and die guaranteed
Nice radio shack. Well done, nice and clean. I’m here checking for reviews on the FTM-400XDR. So what do you think. They are on sale at HRO right now for Black Friday. Joe, Kc7LGT
this is the closest I could find to what I have (on eBay) www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-Large-Big-Digits-LED-Wall-Desk-ALARM-Clock-with-Calendar-Temperature-US/114270187607?hash=item1a9b08b057:g:Z9YAAOSwYeRaDDUu
I put them on bare soil tacked down with DXE biodegradable radial staples, then put grass seed down covered with straw. Three months later and the wires were completely gone.
If anyone has problems with PW1 settings email me at my ARRL email address and I will email you the more complete instructions that I downloaded off the Internet and that worked very well for me.
Hi John, I have a PW-1 that I need to change back to the default CI-V address of 54H. It is presently at 56H. Is there a default position on the amplifier rotary switch? The manual is remarkably bad on this, and just says to refer to the manual.
That's just what I have found. Very good! Do you have variable controls on any house lights? My kitchen light was causing my noise. Battery chargers for power tools is another cause for me. - 73 de K0PIR.us
Hello John I’m just curious, why would you use a single external speaker when you can run the audio through your computer speakers and yield a much better sound?
I mostly use the other transceiver for running split and the big speaker "mixes" the two receivers quite nicely. I don't think the computer speakers sound as good as the SP30H which is quite large and not cheap.
I have the same setup & love it.It's by far the best combination of transceiver & amplifier I have ever owned or operated.I use just 35 watts of drive on all bands & I get about 1200 watts PEP on all of the HF bands & 900 watts on 6 meters which is more than enough for any band.Nobody can hear or see the difference in my signal & a legal limit station on any receiver. 73 de W4KVW
Excellent. Remember to keep the ALC in the bottom of the scale and never go passed the end ALC scale. When the ALC indicates in the upper part of the scale and beyond, you will be distorted and producing splatter. Make sense? Their club is really good. Congratulations on a world class transceiver. It is a beautiful machine. 73, Jim W6LG
I never used my 7600 with the old firmware so I have no idea what the difference is? I connected to the internet when I unboxed the radio, did the firmware upgrade & then turned on the radio.I rarely ever use the waterfall but I guess it's OK.I much prefer an analog style S-Meter & I HATE the bar graph meters so it's a no brainer for me.Awesome transceiver & I much prefer it over the ICOM 7600 which I would not own for FREE or any other transceiver that requires me too touch the screen just so it will do what I need from it. ICOM has their head up their butts & think it's a cell phone I guess along with the IC-7300. Total STUPIDITY.
The biggest difference is the scope didn't have a waterfall option before the upgrade. Here is what my 7600 looked like before 2.0: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FhWrTUA_O9Q.html
Huang Bill I think I remember an error in the manual when I was connecting the PW-1 to the 7600 like a missed step or something? Been quite a while so I can’t remember?
Hey John!! NG0Z , thanks so much for the video, was not expecting it, good to work you and hope to work you again, maybe we can do another video again so i can record you in return best 73 from MARK de 9Z4Y
