Shawn Butler was born on October 9th 1971 in Stoughton MA. Shawn was introduced to the guitar at the age of 10, he took to the guitar right away and developed his skills of playing rather quickly. At high school he starts playing piano as well. Little by little he started to evolve his singing by going to bars and playing on the open mikes. At the open mikes he met a lot of people, who were into music. This acquaintances really expanded his knowledge about music and guitar in particular. Despite the fact that at age of 17 Shawn started losing his eyesight, at the age of 20 in 1992 he decided to enroll in Bridgewater state college and to choose music as his future profession. College was a great school of life that shaped Shawn into real musician and singer. After graduation in 1999 Shawn started giving guitar lessons, but at the same time he was taking lessons in piano himself. He succeeded with some students as he turned out to be a good teacher.
