Just subbed! Super useful, informative, and concise! Hate to be that guy, but will it run Fortnite in this mode? Or does it still need to be run in windows because of the anticheat stuff?
Thanks for subscribing. Really appreciate the kind words. As for Fortnite, unfortunately, due to the anti-cheat system, it still needs to be run in Windows. I’m pretty sure that’s still the only option at the moment, but hopefully, we’ll see better support for the Steam Deck in the future.
@@dareatoyebi6926 It’s incredibly challenging to show the differences between these two screens without seeing them in person. However, if I had to choose, I’d recommend going with the glossy one.
@@jimlenovo3014 i’d say there’s no pump noise difference at all, and I like being able to use my own contact frame over the integrated contact frame with the V3 version. I would buy the V2 version. That’s why I still have the v2 on my test benches.
Sorry about that, The only way I’m aware of playing Fortnite on the Steam Deck is by installing Windows and then you can run Fortnite natively on the steam deck.
Hi, do you still have msi claw, is the situation still the same? otherwise I’m looking at a laptop with similar characteristics and I have a steam deck. If nothing has changed, then I think there’s no point in buying anything with ultra chips
Hey, thanks for the question! I don’t own the MSI Claw anymore, so I’m not sure if the situation has changed since my video. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend anything with Intel’s Ultra chip right now. The Z1 Extreme chip performs really well on the ROG Ally, though I do have concerns with ASUS’s RMA process and warranty issues, which makes me hesitant to recommend their devices. That said, the AMD Z1 Extreme is a very strong chip, and there are some great laptops using it. If you let me know your budget, I’d be happy to recommend a few options that might suit your needs.
Hey Dominic! Appreciate the video! #Subbed... So I followed your instructions BUT Heroic Launcher does not appear when I search for it... Any clue?? Thanks in Advance!
Hey @BenFox01! Thanks for the sub and for checking out the video, I appreciate it! Regarding the Heroic Launcher, sometimes it might not show up right away in search results depending on the version or region settings. One thing to try is ensuring that your app store settings are up to date and switching regions if needed. Also, make sure you have the latest version of the store/launcher installed. Additionally, some third-party applications can interfere with the search or functionality of the launcher, so if you’re running any other apps, it might be worth temporarily disabling them or even uninstalling them and then reinstalling the heroic launcher by itself to see if that resolves the issue. Let me know if that helps, and feel free to ask if you run into any other issues! Cheers, Dominic
@@DominicMalta Cheers Dom! Will give what u said a go! The Steam Deck is pretty much new so no 3rd party apps yet. But maybe it just needs an update! A read somewhere also a problem/something to do with 'FlatPak' whatever that is!?
You could try either of these two options, though I can’t guarantee they’ll work. First, you can check the Heroic Games Launcher community to see if there are any known issues with the game you’re attempting to play 1.Delete the Epic Games Store folder: Go to the game's folder in the Epic Games Library, click the three dots, and delete the EGS folder. Then, restart the launcher and relaunch the game. 2.Clear the Epic Games Launcher cache: Deleting the cache files can fix issues by allowing the launcher to rebuild them.
The other day I played Fortnite and it turned purple I don't know why, also in GTAV it turns red and flashing blue when you have the police, in other games (but not always) it turns light blue
I’m just a little confused what you mean by UMFF. The UMFF / Unified Mean-Field Framework, which is a framework that unifies and generalizes existing mean-field approximation methods. The UMFF is an approximation of the exact Markovian SIS equations on complex networks. The framework is described from the perspective of the isoperimetric problem, which provides bounds on the UMFF approximation error. I do not know how this applies to my voice.
Do you mean to say, I've had this thing for 9 months now and shied away from putting Epic on it because I didn't think the huge rabbit hole was worth it, for nothing? This isn't even a worm hole... Or IS it? 🤔
Lol, yes that’s exactly it you’ve been missing out on some easy access to Epic Games on your Steam Deck. It’s not the huge rabbit hole you might have thought in fact, the process is pretty straightforward. So maybe it’s more of a convenient wormhole after all. Let me know if you run into any problems setting it up I would be more than happy to help.
Great video! Helped make my decision between the FROZN A720 and the IceGiant ProSiphon (went with the much cheaper and slightly better performing A720).
Thank you for watching! I’m glad the video helped you decide between the FROZN A720 and the IceGiant ProSiphon. The A720 is a great choice especially considering the price.
I definitely recommend getting the Steam Deck OLED. It’s my all time favorite device. The convenience really sells it for me being able to use remote play to play my PlayStation and having access to my Steam library.
To install games on the SD card using the Heroic Games Launcher on your Steam Deck, you’ll need to follow these steps: 1.Format the SD Card Make sure your SD card is formatted correctly. Steam Deck uses a Linux-based system, so it’s recommended to format the SD card to ext4. You can do this from the Steam Deck’s Settings under the “Storage” section. 2. Open Heroic Games Launcher Start Heroic Games Launcher from your Steam Deck. 3.Settings Configuration Go to the settings in the Heroic Games Launcher. Under the “Installations” tab or section, look for the “Default Installation Path”. Change the installation path to your SD card. It will typically be something like /run/media/mmcblk0p1/, but you need to check what it is on your system. The exact path can vary, so you might need to browse or confirm the mount point of your SD card via a file manager or terminal. 4.Install Games When you install a game, select the new default path you have set, or specify the path if asked during the installation process. If the game launcher does not recognize the SD card or if you encounter issues accessing the newly set path, make sure that the permissions and mounting points are correctly configured. Sometimes, a restart might be needed after changing storage settings or reformatting the SD card. If you continue to have trouble, it might help to verify that the SD card is functioning correctly and is not corrupted. Please let me know if this works. And Thank you for watching the video I appreciate it :)
Thanks for the tutorial! Just a little thing I could install the heroic launcher and connect the epic games account but the games that I installed in heroic are not appearing in the steam library, Do you know what could be the reason? Thanks in advance!!
@@anahijasso919 I’m glad you found the tutorial helpful:) For your issue on the Steam Deck with the Heroic games not appearing in your Steam library. Here are a few things you can try: 1.Check the Heroic Launcher settings: Make sure you’ve enabled the option to “Add Installed Games to Steam” within the Heroic Launcher on your Steam Deck. 2.Restart Steam in Desktop Mode: Go into Desktop Mode on your Steam Deck, restart the Steam client, and check if the games appear in your library 3.Add the Games Manually: If the games still don’t appear, try manually adding the game executables to Steam by using the “Add a Non-Steam Game” feature in Desktop Mode. Give these a try, and let me know if it helps! Thanks again for watching and commenting I do really appreciate it
I completely agree. Windows is not designed to function as a handheld operating system, which unfortunately results in a poor user experience. I wish companies like ASUS and others would give this issue more consideration when creating gaming handhelds.
Thanks for explaining all of this so well and with such patience for people like me who is not well versed in this multi universe of games. I wanted to install Fortnite and it is telling me that I have to tick to remove the "anti cheat" function or something along those lines, do you know how I can do that? If anybody of my friends below in the comments know as well, I would really appreciate it.
In GTA5 when ur in sight of cops the lights flash red and blue Edit: i know another one, in Alien: Isolation when you use the radar the lights will flash green and the flashing speed depends on how close the alien is.
