Balance has never mattered in single player RPGs with a lot of options imo. Like if anything overbalanced single player games were a lot more painful and unfun.
Damn, i can say the very same, my fav caracters are the most weaker ones, example i love monks/light magic user *cof* *cof* arthur *cof* *cof* even if is the worst magic, the satisfaction to see that weak caracter became the boss destroyer is the best feeling i had in my life :]
If anything BotW run much better in emulators so you don't have to buy the shit Switch console. I put 25 hours into the original BotW and almost died of boredom. 6 months later I started Master Mode and disabled durability with a mod. And now I kind of like the game. It's a bit like Dark Souls with much worse combat and super weird controls.
Some of these cuts hurt (side note if you ever try XC2 again Chapter 4 is the low point it's all up from there) but I think this is an overall good selection
Bouldergheist has been my favourite mario boss from the entire series since I first fought him. He even used to be my pfp for quite a while. It's hard to explain why he is such a cool character. I guess the perfect blend between a cool and silly boss, and it of course being a ghost that isn't just a boo.
I still think the boss dps cap is overtuned. 1 damage cap for 3 seconds when you break the bosses’ dps basically punishes you for saving you’re non-anti-dps strong weapons for the boss. I’d accept an 80% reduction, but the current cap forces you to stop shooting your good guns to save ammo.
Glad to see someone with a similar opinion, seeing how its seemingly a minority view, or at the very least divisive. I can't play Breath of the Wild for very long without getting bored, it's just lacking in so many things other games do better (enemy variety, interesting side quests, good rewards for exploring, etc.). Even less popular things like weapon durability feel a lot better in Tears because of the fuse system, so getting rewarded with powerful weapon parts makes fighting powerful enemies actually feel purposeful. The abilities give you so much gameplay and player freedom to get creative too compared to BotW that it's insane. The only thing I think Breath of the Wild did better was story, but I honestly think both games sort of fail in that department. Regardless, great video.
As hard as I find it to go back to Botw, I played tf out of it for the 6 years between. Totk is my most played game on my switch but there are things I miss from Botw. Stasis, I know we have recall but it's nowhere near the same thing. Pre-made arrows. As in arrows that you don't have to attach an item to between each shot. The DLC content. Mainly the Trial of the Sword stuff. I LOVE gauntlet style challenges in games. Where you're somehow getting by with basically nothing left. Master Cycle Zero. Obviously we can build some incredible stuff in Totk but I wish they'd have added a side quest or something to find the derelict remains of it. And then restore it over a few quests. The aesthetic of ancient/ guardian stuff. Although I also love the Zonai look as well. I think the main reason it's hard for me to go back is because Totk takes the freedom aspect and cranks it to 11. It's so easy to take to the skies now. And my first moments standing on a glider had me feeling like when I played Just Cause 2 as a kid. But I also see why that can be a bad thing. My first playthrough I basically bypassed the challenges of the fire temple because the rail ways had me super confused. So I used devices to basically cut straight there.
can you please elaborate on why giving baby mario and baby luigi x and y was a bad idea? like did you get confused because now you need to press 4 buttons because 5 year old me certainly didnt like i genuinely dont see how its a bad idea, it just seems like a natural way to move forward
We will get new characters and the ONLY CUTS will be echoes, (Excluding Star fox characters bc it's the coolest first party Nintendo shooter) Young and toon link, Dr. Mario, (cause he is absolute garbage) and Dark Samus will be de-cloned.
The amount of kids in this comments who cry and say "noooo BOTW IS GOOOD!!!11" Is insane. Like, yes I enjoyed botw, but would I still play it if there was TOTK? Hell nooo. That is the point of a video, not to tell you that botw is just bad
Dang bro, those were some funny Wario jokes. I don't like the idea of Jigglypuff making it in, I think Peach should be overhauled with a Showtime moveset, and Daisy with a Sports and Olympics moveset. Lucario and Mewtwo have similar movesets and I think Lucario is more interesting (aura mechanic, not gen 1) and more relevant (2nd on the same poll that put Greninja first). I think Fox should get Falco and Wolf-based alt models because they're basically the Ganondorf problem but without good source material or relevance. Same for Marth with Roy, Lucina, and Chrom. Also Ness with Lucas and Ninten. Dr Mario should have been a Mario alt from the start. Cloud is far too important to go, he's Ryu-level genre defining. I generally don't like the idea of keeping the original 12 in these rebuilds because Nintendo never really had to cut anyone before. Now that they are, I think the ones who've declined in relevance should be first to go, even if that means getting rid of Captain Falcon. The die hard fans might not like it but they could replace him with someone interesting and important.
For some reason I’ve always enjoyed grinding in FFVII the original. Grinding levels and grinding limit breakers and materia. Also max out the sphere grid in FFX. I’d take a game like that but with more types of gear and more gear I generally I wonder why no one has tried to make a loot game like Diablo or Borderlands but a JRPG. There is Disgaea but that’s an SRPG and not the same thing.
“You can speedrun every boxer in 5 seconds” people say, I have news for you. One your first attempt the only real dizzy you can get is piston hurricane due to you knowing the mechanics and only having his special to make him different. Tell me, the first time you played the other games, were you immediately good at it. P.S. Zallard speedruns against contender characters get really close for some of the fights.
Maybe it is just me but I love standard turn based combat, games like bravely default series, dragon quest, and even octopath traveler all are fantastic turn based games without annoying gimmics
nonsense, i own both games + botw dlc. There are A LOT of reasons to revist botw, the shrines are much more chllanging and fun. There is master mode in the DLC, the legendery beasts are fun and uniqe and so on. Botw is great
I honestly think that "smash bros" needs a break on Switch 2 and Sakuria should partner with Disney to create a Disney Smash game. Mickey mouse vs darth maul vs Raven vs Spiderman

There're many broken items in the B tier and magnificence resets if you use the save button. There're combinations that let you play like a monkey and still get master rounds and also builds that make you struggle with normal room clearing. Also, some secret floors are kinda worthless for the max power run, like the Abbey and R&G. At least the Blobulord is very easy (and early enough that a reset feels okay) and the Rat items can easily win you the rest of the run.
What you are describing is not grinding. By it's definition it is "hard, dull work" when it stops being dull it's not grinding anymore. What you are describing is just the simple concept of doing something fun that happens to be repetitive. I don't think there even is a word for that, the closest I can think of is addictive wich can be a good or bad thing, just because something is addictive doesn't mean it should be bad by definition. But grinding by it's dictionarie definition has this negative connotation. So no, nobody likes grinding, people just like addictive mechanics. It would be cool that a word that defines "repetitive and fun" existed, I agree that games could have this mechanic. But fuck grind, fuck that word big time.
I really enjoyed both games so much. However, I can't stand a $75 dollar game with barely any voice acting. OMG bro, am I reading or playing a game? C'mon!!
