Welcome to our channel!! Thank you for dropping in!!
This channel is dedicated to games in the Star Wars Universe.
Currently, the channel focuses on Star Wars Unlimited and X-Wing.
On Mondays, come watch our series named Starfighter Orientation. This series features a ship from X-Wing and discusses its action bar, dial, favorite pilots, and tactics.
On Wednesdays, check out our series called Form Up! This series shows how to incorporate the featured ship of the week into a list or squadron.
On Fridays, look out for Deck Duels. This series spotlights a showdown between two decks in Star Wars Unlimited.
We are a couple of weeks away from our 1 year anniversary. It is odd, but our previous Monday and Wednesday posts have been getting us over a hundred views mostly and more subscribers. We are committed to this series until the end of July and will look at the data for continuing or shifting more to our unlimited content. I hope you come back.
This is the way. Agreed. 1.0 play and 2.0 play is all about the dogfight and the kill. 2.5 split the focus where it wasn’t just about the kill, but maintaining an objective in the scenario.
Don't be sad that it's over... be glad we have a chance to build it anew. We have a chance to build this into something greater than it was before. When the Jedi Order was almost destroyed by the Empire, it was rebuilt years later by Luke Skywalker. We have the rules to X-Wing. Most of us already have the models and dials. And by golly, we still have people who want to play. X-Wing will become the new BattleTech. Adored by fans, and created/supported/kept alive by the fans. To those who have 3D printers... you are like our Jedi. Able to bring to life ships we can't get from official sources anymore. To those who know the past and current rules and points costs... you are the Council. Able to rebalance neglected ships thar have yet to become 2.5, and are able to introduce new ships to the game, making sure they are balanced against current ships. And to those who are creative, we are finally free to be able to paint and fly almost any ship we want to in whichever faction color we fly in. Time for Scum and Villainy to cash in on old Clone War tech, as well as Imperial, Rebel, Resistance and First Order ships without worry of points or rules! May the Force guide us all into keeping this game alive.
Your take of how the history went is laughably off tune. Saying the problem is that players complaining about what we're clearly bad design is hilarious. But whatever game is dead now. It will be a nice artifact in the archives but that's it. Three years from now or so there will be a new game that's not compatible and the cycle will start anew
Just need people who are able to create the models and dials for people, or the game is in trouble. Lack of development is fine, lack of models/products is not.
Just when I am getting back into the game amg drop this on me 😢 well I hope you still do contents for the game and maybe go into homebrew stuff for xwing.
As someone who has been coming back to X-Wing for a decade this is so sad. While continuing to play with family and friends won't be hard, getting new people into the game is going to be insane. I work at an LGS in New Zealand and we've just been getting more interest in the game from new people and have quite a good supply of ships and kits on the wall. What would you recommend in terms of "stocking up" on product? Is it the time to buy all the ships/scenario packs you might ever want to avoid the secondary market prices?
The community is able to build upon it. There are talented people who can create web applications, 3D printing, and who love the game, it is possible to make points changes. Or someone can create a new company that can take up the X-Wing / Armada game.
I think you may have missed that "Slam" gives you a disarm token. Unless that disarm was added to "Slam" in version 2.5? (you recorded this prior to 2.5 release....I think)
I am not a scum or a separatist flyer, but the information you provided, allows me to understand a little bit more about the firespray and how to deal with them on the battlefield. Great information. This is the way
First! I recently have been trying to get back into the game after dropping out in 1.0 - the content you have been putting out recently are truly helpful and enjoyable to watch. Hope to see more of these and list building videos in the future. Keep up the good work!
Another fantastic video! Tie Fighters biggest weakness, for me, is their 3 haul. Compared to FO, they are much easier to kill. We see some attempts to solve this problem in the standard loadout pilots. In this case many of older pilots are just not the best option for their cost. In my opinion Empire lacks of named 2 point pilots like other factions have. This leads me to a hypothetical question. Which current Tie Fighter pilots would you like to reduce to 2 points? They should have similar power level like Sabin and Bossk.
I think we should all hold off before passing judgement on The Acolyte because rumor has it the next couple episodes are going to be The Last Jedi level of divisiveness for fans. X-Wing is such a beautiful game. I’m just happy I have bought so much product and can continue to play with family and friends.
Personally, I think a 7 or 8 ship swarm can be risky and less rewarding because running into your own ships increases the amount of damage you can suffer before you get to shots. I am a fan of the 5 ship lists and think they are more viable in the scenario play. I do remember the days of the 8 First Order TIE Swarm and it was brutal.
Good video! You showed some interesting 3-point pilots. For this type of content, it would be valuable to show the most common uses of the ship. In this case, it would be 2/3 points fillers. According to the Worlds, Scythe 6 is probably the best Tie Fighter for this role, but there are other options too.
Thanks for the suggestion. Our goal for this series is exposure to pilots and keep it under a certain time. The series is still undergoing some tuning if you will. If we see that there are enough views and likes to warrant a part 2 for future, we will include World Contenders.
I can't find anywhere that says Howlrunner can buff herself, just friendly ships. Is there somewhere in the rules I may be missing? Enjoying this series BTW..
@@BatMando-GamingThanks for the reply. I guess my hang up is friendly ships. I would have interpreted that as other ships and not necessarily hers. Didn't know if there was a rule if at range 0 it will include that cards ship. I'm relatively a new player so trying to learn. I've found interpreting the some cards challenging.
So excited to help get this series off the ground! Thank you for featuring me, I had so much fun working on this. Looking forward to the next one. -Commander Orrin
@@BatMando-Gaming As I fly Darth Vader "Black Leader" pilot, when it comes to Tie fighters "Mauler" Mithel (BOY) or "Backstabber" As the combination of this 30 is very deadly when played correctly.
Will have to give that list a go sometime soon. Looks fun. I like having Dutch for the extra locks, personally I would give him Concussion missiles rather then plasmas as he's usually my last or second-last ship to shoot but thats just my preference. Corran with R3 and Clusters is very entertaining to use. If someone wants a more 'Acey' list with X-wings I have had a lot of fun using Wedge (Plasma Torp, Marksmanship, Predator), BoY Luke, Wes Janson (Afterburners or Shield upgrade, Cluster Missiles or Mag-pulse, R3) and Ahsoka Tano in an A-wing (Concussion Missiles, Instinctive Aim, Brilliant Evasion, Predator)
The list in the video is more for focus fire and lots of chances for re-rolls when I have crap attack die which generally is the way it goes on tournament days.
