I love this video but some guys are extreme in Europe, look what he's brought with the Comex! What's next? The diaries of the previous owner? Bank statements showing the actual purchase? Birth certificate perhaps? Speaking of extreme OCD 😊. I never do any of this stuff despite having one of the largest collections here in the West Coast US.
@@ProfessorCarlo well, I agree partly. I care about the watch and any papers or boxes are usually of little value or interest to me. Yet, on a Comex (or other issued watches) they do provide some interesting insights on the utility and history of the watch.
Quick question, is there any chance that this example of the 3448 had at one point the special PP crown? I understand that sometimes the PP crown was exchanged for the flat crown during service. This is probably very difficult to ascertain but I figured I would ask nonetheless!
This show is so good. I assume they just didn’t get enough views in order to continue this show. Probably took a lot of time and money to produce and do this show. Best watch show online forsure
What I said was correct. Rolex used “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” - SCOC on the dial. Which is indeed to indicate it had COSC standards. Thanks for checking the video
I really love 5004, but again I think Patek made too many, closer to 500 pieces. Some sources say they have made only 300 of them, but people forget 100 pieces of SS + many many unique pieces that Patek is still making as a part of their historical collection. So too many were made. Nobody should pay for 5004 too much money, they will never be next 1518 or 2499. I personally love that P black dial the most, but I think I maybe love even more G-15 (white gold black dial). Also, I love 5004A in stainless steel, but I would never pay for this watch crazy amount as that the metal they made them the most in. Also they made them in total of 6 metals, which is crazy. (White gold, yellow gold, rose gold, platinum, stainless steel and 1 in titanium for only watch auction). For anybody reading this be careful about 5004, it's a trap.
the dial is a service dial on your zenith Daytona, I need to see it closer, but there were two sets of service dials one from 2000-2010 and from 2010 to 2022. I think your is the latter, which is not good. Service dials are never interesting.
beautiful collection, I am afraid 3700 Willy Engal is fake, this watch was offered to me around 2014 through a vintage watch dealer from Rome (I will not mention his name here) but KOV did talking watches with him as well. He is a very dodgy character in my opinion. I checked the watch and Patek has never made this watch with this dial, extract from archives will confirm the same what I am saying here. Yes, two watches were created by crafty Italian dealer. The other one "CB" was sold by no other but the doggiest auction house in the world Antiquorum. 3700/11 is beautiful and perfect condition. And 5004A Patek made 50+50 pieces, so 100. Too many and it will never be like 1518 steel that only 4 were made (and I believe one of those 4 is fake, so really only 3 were made).
GREAT GREAT VIDEO. I love his passion and excitement about the watches. He still has the infectious joy about the watches and their history. He can't sleep because of the excitement of his new watch. That's great. One of the best video's on RU-vid.
