Welcome to my gaming channel! Gaming has been my passion my entire life and I finally got the motivation to start this channel! I'm super excited to take this venture to get you some fun gaming videos like tips and tricks, game reviews, and much more!
Thanks for the tip! I’m new to this long form style of videos and I’m trying different ways of doing it 😁 I’ll try to be more battle focused in coming videos
well.. kill an enemy and go back to camp, kill another enemy and go back to camp. In the long run, aside from looking like a cheat, it becomes boring to watch even if it is probably fun to play.
Sorry you’re bored with this! It becomes better when the rogues level up. If you’d like you could check out later parts where I take out entire groups of enemies at a time.
@ozymandiasgaming no problem, I love playing stealth and I love rogue assassin. I was just suggesting avoiding too many "exit and re-enter" from combat. Thanks.
@@woohan6430 that happened to me with minthara once. In my evil gameplay I wanted to recruit her but she was just frozen. I couldn't even interact with her 😂
Oh sorry for the confusion, you're right though the title is a bit confusing! I actually just thought it would be fun to do like a direct comparison rather than a technical breakdown 😁
In my current honor mode run I utilized an Arcane Trickster as a pickpocket and she was impressive in Act 1 but is a god by Act 3. Things that are awesome about her: Friends, Minor Illusion, Disguise Self, Longstrider, Cunning Action: Dash, Cunning Action: Disengage, Cunning Action: Hide, Fog Cloud, Darkness, Invisibility, Misty Step and last but not least Reliable Talent. If the victim is in an unfavorable position or there are too many witnesses, Minor Illusion is usually the best solution. Maximum dexterity and high charisma for best efficiency in pickpocketing and hiding as well as for persuading the guards if something should go wrong (Friends helps a lot with that). The usual items as mentioned in this video and also don't sleep on the Nimblefinger Gloves. If everything goes wrong, you can escape from the situation by running away with Longstrider and Cunning Action: Dash or by using one of the many useful spells like Invisibility, Misty Step, Fog Cloud or Darkness or by simply using one of the many stolen potions of invisibility or a combination of everything. After the successful escape, disguise yourself as someone else so no one will associate you with your misdeeds anymore, and you can finish the job in peace. Pickpocketing completely removes the need to save resources in BG3 because it makes almost everything free and of unlimited supply and after using it excessively at the moment I will probably avoid it in future playthroughs because it just feels like cheating. Nevertheless, thanks for reading and enjoy your five-finger discounts.
@@ozymandiasgamingit’s a glitch so it’s not a “legitimate method” but you sell the vendor an empty backpack, then open up the backpack in their inventory and one in your inventory. Put the gold and items you want from their inventory into the open bag that you sold to them. Select all the items and then drag the items onto the bag icon of YOUR open bag. And boom, free stuff with no chance of getting caught
@@ozymandiasgaming Well its not a "legitimate" method, but you sell a backpack to a vendor, then open up a back pack in your inventory and then open one in their inventory (Might have to drag the bag icon a little out of the actual inventory spots) Then you drag all the items you want from the vendor into their open backpack. After that highlight all the items in their backpack and drag them onto the ICON at the top of your open backpack NOT the packpack icon in your inventory. All items should transfer over and you will not have committed any crimes or get caught stealing!
@@ozymandiasgaming Also youre missing the slight of hand ring found on the skeleton in act 1. Its on the lower road going from the broken bridge on the way to where Karlach is. Its hidden in a bush so might have to ALT to find it.
The DC check is 12 because you have a +12 bonus going to SoH. You need to roll at least a 12, plus the 12 from your bonus = passing the check. It will always be the check minus your bonuses for the roll you need.
You can improve your chances by using the amulet that gives you Bless. And for crowded areas, Darkness Arrows (or the cloak in Act 2) work great. Just be sure to use it a slight distance away from the vendor so you dont have to run a stealth check when using it. Also, if you're stealing from vendors with Alert, it helps to also have it, or at least pop an elixir of vigilance. This is my go to for honour lol.
Thank you so much for the tips! I never thought about using bless that is a genius idea. Though for stealing from vendors in crowded areas I usually just pop my duegar invisibilty...if you have alert and you're an assassin then you can use invisibilty, steal then if you get caught you can pop invisibilty again and you're out of there!
@@ozymandiasgaming One of these days I'll try Duegar lol. Only reason I mentioned Alert or Elixir is so you can move first in case you're caught against others who have Alert. I'm a hoarder of scrolls and stuff and Roah (who also has Alert) has tons of good stuff. But stealing from her in Act 2 and getting caught can be a pain cuz of Scrying Eyes. One time she bugged out in Act 1 and triggered the whole goblin camp and they were perma hostile haha.
@@CaidhpBhais Yesssssss I love stealing from her. You know what I did? I got a hireling, rolled him into a wizard, and sent him to shatter the scrying eye. Then I cast greater invisibility and scooched out of there. Then dismissed him, hired another one, and sent him in to get the other eye and so on and so forth... that's how I got rid of the scrying eyes. Then I just hired the duegar hireling, got him invisible, and stole from Roah. I got caught once or twice but I always went second after her so I could invisibility my way out of there. But first, get rid of the scrying eyes... they're truly annoying!
@@ozymandiasgaming Lmao that's hilarious. I hardly ever use hirelings but I'll try that out on my next run. The ones in the dungeon are easy to handle cuz you can just toss or shove them into the chasm but mf'ers are always complicating my getaway lol. I always end up taking out all the guards out before dealing w/ the Nightsong. Makes storming it a breeze. Just started Act 3 on my Honour run. Stoked for those new evil endings!
@@CaidhpBhais Hahaha, I do the same! I always clear out Moonrise Tower before I deal with Nightsong! I just started Act 2 on my current honor run (Lost 3 run already) Good luck with Act 3! Oh ALSO.. I tried your darkness trick in the moonlight inn... GAME CHANGER! Thank you sooooooo much for the tip!
duergar is shit for this if you are halfing with advantage you will never lose the roll ever. you can have 1 in 600 fail chance pick pockets as early as 10 mins in act 1 with the real set up. you can also steal unlimited invis pots which makes duergar even worse. seriously its an awful race. this guide is genuinely just bad. you should have +15ish to these checks easily by this part. no guidance which you get from the necklace literally at the start of act1 no ring of the shape shifter which you get also at the start of act 1. thats 2 1d4's you are missing out on. no smugglers ring for plus 2 to pick pocket. this guide is bad straight up. also you go bard not rouge for this. as bards get higher sleight of hand than rouges do when they master it at level 3. you are effectively missing out on +15 to your pick pockets it should be impossible to fail any steal check under 30 unless you critical fail which is why all the try hards who do solo runs pick halfing and NEVER duergar.
Hey bud, so listen. I respect your knowledge of the game and I checked out your channel, you're obviously an excellent gamer. I do not claim to be the BEST in this game or to be PERFECT. I've admitted that I've never even finished the game on honor mode. I started this channel to share what I know with other gamer. However, I DO NOT APPRECIATE YOUR UNKIND WORDS. If you'd like to give tips I'd appreciate that immensely, but unkindness of any kind will not be tolerated on this channel. The gaming community means so much to me and there's already so much hate out there on the internet that I'm adamant about keeping it out of my channel. So please, if you'd like to share tips in the future feel free to do so but be kind. Any unkind comments will be deleted as soon as I see them... That being said, thank you so much for your tips! I'll give the halfling build a shot! You obviously have an incredible hold on this game and I'd appreciate any other tips you have.
isnt better to use rather gloves of thievery ? for have dvantage on the rolls instead of +1? I am not good at mathematics so much , but I always feels much more comfortable in stealing with advantage especially on medium till lower difficulty items, and guess what, I am for sure stealing almost everything :-D But your poiunt with dwarft invisibility is really cool tip for honour mode :-) thx
@@jakubkamas8547 actually the graceful cloth gives you advantage and a bump to your dex modifier. Both together don't work. If you look closely at the sleight of hand check you'll notice that I'm rolling with advantage
Idk if it has been patched but I took out Ethel with perilous stakes . When you trade with her just give her like 800 gold and she becomes green and like ally and you can make her susceptible to all damage with the illithid power and can pretty easily just KO her in a turn
I just used my monk custom character to stun her. With 18 strength and Tavern Brawler I destroyed her with the help of my party in 2 turns (Karlach, Astarion and Gale).
@@BecomeFrogge I did that during my monk tactician run... If you get a tavern brawler and give him a thief from the rogue you can do flurry of blows twice in a turn. Add an elixer of cloud giant strength to that and your monk deals about 90 damage per turn!
@@ozymandiasgaming I heard about those tips, but I don't wanna min max too much. Just a high strength Monk with Tavern Brawler is strong enough already.
Unless they patched it. if you switch to non lethal. she only got 6hp. When she's in her shaped aunti form. If you do her to 0 with non lethal she will fall unconcious. from there she's an easy kill.. But not sure if this is patched? Also you miss out on everything regarding the fight and rewards i presume.
@@vxytor you know, in the 400 hours I played this game, I never once got the hair. I guess I always killed her too quickly for that... I literally had to Google it to find out what it is. Though if you ask me ability modifiers are not super important especially in late game. Between the graceful cloth, gloves of dex, that crown you get from killing the trolls, the amulet from Raphael and elixer of strengths you can pretty much mess around with the stats very well in the end game
@@ozymandiasgaming I've been wanting to make a team of "ninjas". Maybe something like a shadow monk, an illusion wizard, a rogue, and a shadow hunter. Then just stealth as much of the game as possible.
@@Akira-jd2zr SPOILER.. ah that sounds awesome! I actually already managed to stealth most of the game in a previous run but I ended up dying in the final battle. Piece of advice, there are a few fights you can't stealth.. The first one is when isobelle get kidnapped, then there is the myrkle fight and the gith monks fight after that... Once you're past the gith monks you can stealth your way to the elder brain... Be careful there though... I lost two honor runs in that fight! 😁
It's by having rogue assassins. They always crit if the enemy is surprised. The strategy is to send one of them to surprise the enemy and then send the rest in to crit them to hell :)
@@kingsolo7001 I remember kojiro! He was very very difficult but it took me less time to beat him! As I had better gear. I've been focusing on other stuff but I'll try to upload the kojiro duel soon!
@@mrdevildeath9074 Yesss the Kensei is awesome! I love the sakai clan because it extends the stand off too! You can take down five at a time which is aweomse!
@@mrdevildeath9074 yeah I didn't record the boat fight... I do remember relying a lot on my throwables and bows though! Kunais in particular are super helpful in breaking defense
Hahahahah, Yeah he is tough! If I hadn't maxed out my water stance for him and automatically parried his attacks it would've been impossible to beat him! 😁
@@snailmilk8618 right? I kinda love this villain. Like the way he learns about the samurai culture to defeat them and uses their own honor against them... Genius!
@@mrdevildeath9074 ah that is a good strategy! But doesn't he follow it up with a third in his third phase? Also, the hope with the sword draw attack is a perfect dogde so you can wreak some havock 😂
@@ozymandiasgaming My trick is dodge, then roll 2 times but sometimes It still hits, The problem is i do have perfect dodge so it's easier for me. There's a major charm that boosts perfect parry and perfect dodge in spring falls sanctuary
@@mrdevildeath9074 oh snap really? I do have both perfect dodge and perfect parry. The only issue is that on lethal their window is infinitesimally tiny... A charm would really come in handy.. Thanks for the tip!
@@ozymandiasgaming I liked ghost of tsushima because of its story and visuals. Sekiro has visuals but i didn't like or fully understood the story so i wasn't connected to the characters that much sekrio's combat was the one that kept me in the game. I literally took 1 week to beat the gorilla boss 😭. With breaks ofcourse because its easy to beat any boss by taking breaks rather than just sticking to the screen for hours.
@@JAFFF_OG oh wow, it seems really challenging! I do love a good brutal combat every now and then! Thank you for the recommendation. I'll check it out when I'm done with Dead Island 2...I've always been a one game at a time kinda gamer 😁
@@ozymandiasgaming ya am also a one game at a time guy. Gonna complete ghost pf tsushima today then finally its time tor rdr2 😭. I've waited for this a lot because my pc was low end but now i have a good one.
True, I’ve finished new game+, 4 times in lethal+ difficulty, and he always makes me re learn his pattern, just gotta learn his timing and just work on your reflexes, great video tho!
Offensively For duels and just fighting foe in general Prioritizing stone stance, which is going to be most recommended for boss fight I would collect enough skill points to increase the speed and power of your heavier attack. I promise it will go along way. Defensively Always half Dodge first And anticipate parring second Reasons why is because is never clear if your opponent will attack with an unblockable first or not That way, dogging first gives you time to anticipate. How the attack is going to be followed up and you can respond accordingly Of course you may notice already. I don’t know if you insinuated that you already beat the game, but this is a useful tip for someone struggling in ghost of Tsushima combat
Thank you for the great tips! I did eventually max out my stone stance and it's awesome for duels. Especially the last skill when your stance breaker attacks become so quick! Though the wind stance came in super handy in one of the final duels (no spoilies)
I would recommend using heavy attacks in order to lower his posture bar which is indicated by the white bar because once it is zero, you can get multiple free hits and you can also cancel a few of his attacks with heavy attacks. Great channel btw
@@mugs308 thank you so much! Only thing with the stability bar on max difficulty is that it can really take a lot of hits before it goes down... Especially if your moon stance isn't maxed out. Which unfortunately for this encounter mine wasn't 😁
I just found this channel and i gotta say, im loving your format. It was different than the typical gameplay, how you filmed the main idea "dueling yasumasa" but chatted/commentated AFTERwards. Keep it up haha i could get used to this kind of channel 🎉
Oh man, I need this video. I've been strategizing for a while on how to deal with the Avatar of Myrkul in Honour Mode. Barrelmancy was the answer I came up with, but I was really struggling with how to do it safely.
