hi have you ever tried to play spec tennis with touch tennis ball what do you think these two sports I don't like pickleball because I would like to play singles but in pickleball singles rallies are so short maybe they should add more weight to balls like what they do in ping pong balls in past
Hello! I have not done that, I usually just play with what ball it says to. The touchtennis ball is pretty slow and really slows down a lot when it hits the ground, so rallies are generally a lot longer than pickleball singles is. Spec tennis rallies are usually very short in my experience, as the ball is very fast and the court is very small proportionally. What do you think?
I am really surprised to hear that Because i dont have spec tennis experience but people who share their spec tennis videos dont say that. I dont know why but they say exact opposite. For example for pickleball singles; they say there aint no much rallies because ball doesn’t bounce enough. But in spec tennis with orange tennis balls and their paddles, rallies are easier to reach over 6-7 shots Last question- Which one do you recommend for people who wants to play tennis but they cant Ps. I am not old guy☺️
These comments are getting so tired, man. I play and love both tennis and pickleball. Pickleball is a sport that is highly competitive and takes a lot of skill. It is more accessible than tennis which is why you see more people playing it of all demographics. I don’t always have time to set up and play a few hours long match of tennis but pickleball has a much more pickup basketball feel to it. Play a quick game and bounce out.
She is best women and she would be about 50 in mens.. Less depth then tennis as serena would be about 1000th male.. But it will get there as sport grows to more countries
Number one woman who is 16 would get slaughtered by a number one adult male in tennis. The nature of pickelball levels the playing field by toning down the speed, athleticism and power of men.
Of course she would. And so would Serena against a top 50 guy by her own free admission. This girl is 16, she’s wrecking everyone across 3 different disciplines week in & week out. Her arms are ripped she puts in work. Her dominance in her game is Tiger winning all 4 majors level.
@@joshkorin7547 That's a bit of a stretch but you are entitled to your opinion. I play pickleball because its easy and everyone else does because the barrier to entry so low. It is commonly said it can be learned in 30 minutes. Not the same for any other sport which require many lessons and much practice before being able to do anything. One person said people watch sports because they want to see superhuman level of performance that few are able to achieve. Pickleball is relatable because anybody can do it. Nothing about it is superhuman. And it is that way by design. Hence it being so popular. One commentator said "Pickleball looks really dumb on television. For undeniable proof of this fact, you only need to watch a minute or two of a high-level match. The best players in the world are undeniably talented, but the sport’s basic setup makes it impossible for anyone playing it to look all that impressive." So Anna is good but she is no Woods by any stretch.
You can just check her singles DUPR rating of 6.35, which would put her tied with the 34th ranked male, Mario Barrientos. Interestingly, Callie Smith would fall not too far behind in the pack, as her 6.02 rating puts her tied for 49th with Elliot Makowitz and Matt Treblas.
I am a fan of both and didn’t mind the slanted commentary. Some incredible playing by both as is usually the case. Wishing them both health and longevity! ❤
Its because that announcer doesn't know a thing about pickleball or the players. She never says any stats, background training stories, or what makes a good serve a good serve. She just reacts and goes "and thats why he/she is the dinking king/queen".
I'm a rule book thumper so I know what it says but I don't always understand what the poorly written rule book is saying. Would you mind detailing from a technical point of view what part(s) are illegal? And if you care to go a bit further, explain how the illegal serve gives Tyson a competitive advantage? tia
@@voiceofreason9238 4.A.7. The Volley Serve. The volley serve is made by striking the ball without bouncing the ball off the playing surface and can be made with either a forehand or backhand motion. A proper volley serve includes the following elements: 4.A.7.a. 4.A.7.b. The server’s arm must be moving in an upward arc at the time the ball is struck with the paddle. (See Figure 4-3.) The highest point of the paddle head must not be above the highest part of the wrist (where the wrist joint bends) when the paddle strikes the ball.
@@kennymccormick6309 Not sure why you're quoting the rules. The commenter said they know what the rulebook says, they just think it's poorly written, and want to know what specific aspects of Tyson's serve do not comply, and how.
