The characters in this book are so clever! I'd be curious to know how he came up with the intellectual conflicts between the characters while still making sure that each character maintained their intelligence and wasn't just suddenly doing out-of-character stupid things to move the plot forward like you see in a lot of other stories.
I dont understand interviews with authors when you try to avoid spoilers, surely anyone willing to watch an hour of Hobb has read ROTE and i think it would benefit the interview if you have been specific with your questions e.g. likely you meant Malta to the question about character evolution in liveship, because then you'd get more specific answers, but anyway just my thoughts, thanks for posting the interview it was great
and then some of us have not, and don't give a shit about spoilers anyway. either way, you're right. it's not logical to get so bent out of shape over spoilers. you're going into it, you better know what you're getting. which is (hopefully) a complete, rounded conversation about the works of the author, all of the relevant elements.
I love Memory Sorrow and Thorn . I just started the heart of what was lost last night and I'm halfway through, I can't wait to start the Witchwood crown
