Yes he's the greatest hip hop artist of all time the whole package sales fans relevancy awards records bars wordplay cadence metaphors flow everything but hes white and really for the most part none of this newer generation could give a damn about the culture let alone intricate lyrics flow structure n shit they just wanna keep hearing someone rapping bout how they sold a bunch a dope and bought a 200,000 dollar chain n killed the ops + fucked your bitch while they was at it 😂 shits sad really cause they say they relate to that more then real shit em be saying like how can anyone relate to buying a chain that cost as much as a house 😢 but hey I guess they'll come around tho once they don't have a house and a fake ass chain no bitches and ops running down on them for some stainless steel looking stupid as shit smh ! They could of just been bumping eminem and learned a thing or two for the last couple decades
I LOVE when Em does that! So many people don’t acknowledge it and (imo) it’s really amazing, his voice is an instrument! He’s rhymed with spit, airplane takeoffs & being frustrated; “ahhhhh” just to name a few!😅🫶
that was my face listening to it when it dropped im in the game room lookin at wifey i the living room like OMG u dont know what im hearing rn on the headset🔥😂
To be overly analytical about it, if you polled every hip hop fan in the world and ask them who the goat is, Eminem would get more votes than anyone. Does that mean he's the best? No not necessarily but it means most people think he is. Popularity doesn't necessarily directly relate to talent but I don't know it's a weird question really. Because music is subjective
Skin color is nothing to do with being the goat. How can you say it it does? Being the goat, to me, is purely about skill and talent. Even if he's the biggest piece of shit in the world, racist, if his skin color is green, if he disrespects hip hop, none of that matters to me in the goat discussion, just comes down to talent imo. It's a very fair argument to make that Eminem is the most skilled rapper of all time and thus the goat. To me it's Tech nine, cuz again I just look at technical skill and Tech N9ne is untouchable in that category but that's me
Even though technical skills aren't the end all be all, that should still be part of the conversation. Eminem is the best, technically. But he also is one of the best story tellers. He also has some of the most creative concepts. He never pretended to be gangsta to fit in and ended up carving his own lane because his artistry wasn't like anyone else's. The love he has for the culture is UNDENIABLE. His skin color should be irrelevant. He shows nothing but respect for those that paved the way AND his peers (I feel like a lot of people miss that part). The fact that people still try to label him a "culture vulture" is the dumbest shit. And, for better or worse, he's had the greatest influence. Without Em, we don't get Kendrick, Big Sean, Logic, Hopsin, and arguably 50 Cent or Royce
You did not ask about Live From My Sofa: my playlist includes Rach III, Verdi, Dolly, Doc Watson, Bonnie Rait, Tedeschi Trucks, Billy Joel, Chopin, Grieg. If you are better than these I will be happy to remove my statement.
So many dreams on this album reminds me of something in the last verse of Bad Guy that said something like "I'm the nightmare in which you wake up and you're still in it."
The album was okay. Made great album. I'm not on the level of the first three albums he ever made. It's a straight mid album. All you guys dick riding Eminem so hard are kind of sad like yeah m is one of the greatest rappers but he doesn't make nothing but pure fire ass bangers either a goddamn stop fucking dick riding the man. Just admit it was a mid album. It had a few bangers and some shitty shit
It’s definitely not as simple and blatant as old Eminem, but it feels like it’s not as intricate and complicated and new Eminem. It’s definitely a mix of both
Whos better than Eminem? Literally anyone. Gucci mane, twista, tech n9ne, migos, juicy Jay, Kevin gates. As you can tell I'm not even gen z Eminem is cringe and corny af I listen to old stuff new stuff is wack just like Eminem always has been, I don't have any songs of his on my Playlist sounds like the guy on Malibus most wanted with verses like this, makes me want to vomit clean it up with comet earth is plahnut. WACK
Great take my brotha. I'm 39 years of age from one of the hugest hip hop influenced cities, Houston Texas. I started listening to EM in middle school, with the drop of Slim Shady LP after "My Name Is". I immediately gravitated towards his unique rhyme style in the realm of multisyllabic rapping. In Houston, that concept was never explored to that degree. We used to beat on classroom and lunchroom tables with a pen and or pencil mimicking our favorite song instrumentals whilst freestyling in a group, going "back doo". So learning the intricacies of word play was presented at a young age. Whenever I used to revere Eminem as the CURRENT "best" in that regard at the time, people thought I was crazy because of our cities cultureof music. But after album after album (regardless of the content being produced) he has remained amongst the top in the realm of hip hop, not just multisyllabic rhyming, but double, triple and even quadruple entendres. It's impossible to deny that his rhyming scheme is short of anything AMAZING. Whatever the skin color or ethnicity he has proven himself standout above the crowd. Hip hop oriented on LYRICISM. That form has been lost. Sells, popularity, streams are irrelevant when it comes down to the true form of the ORIGINAL art. I appreciate your take on this and am now subscribed to your channel good sir. 💪🏾 long post... OVER.
@@elmascholo13Diabolical, Ja Rule, just to name a couple. These guys were actually good back in the day. Just look at videos with “what rappers think about Eminem” they themselves will tell you that he’s not to be reckoned with. Grow up 👦
Del Tha Funky Homosapien or anything Del collaborates on is 10000000 times better than Eminem. Run the Jewels is way better than Eminem. MF Doom is Way better than Eminem. Eminem got popular because of being controversial, but past that there really isn't much there.
So did you stop listening to him since slim shady lp? Eminem has always been political. He has taken shots at Clinton, Gore, Bush, Cheney. Why are people just discovering this now?
@Marvelfan-nu7ve no I kinda stoped listerning to him lile everyday since curtain call but do still listern to his stuff bur like I said don't like it when people stand for one thing and then turns around and become the opposite
I like Tom but he is nowhere near eminem. He only exists because of eminem but regardless, beats, flows, rhymes, legacy, longevity, battle rap, what he has done for the culture, he blows Tom out the water. Mcdonald is a solid independent current world view intelligent rapper but nowhere near an eminem.
@jeikobu_jeikobu I don't think you've listened to enough Tom Macdonald. He's like 90s Eminem but so much better. I don't even think Eminem is on his level. Tom writes and produces all his own stuff without a record label. He is self made and dominating the whole industry. Eminem is just trendy af.
@@MrCard031584 I’ve listened to just about everything Tom MacDonald has released. He’s not terrible. But he’s no where near Eminem on double, triple rhyme schemes and double/triple entendres. Not even close.
I listen to Doctors and nurses, police, and military. Music is for morons to get brain washed. Think for yourselves and stop listening to people that do the job a 5 year old can do, dance around, sing, and play make believe. I listen to people that actually matter to and contribute towards a positive society.
