I remember as a kid in Oakland at a certain time of the season I would notice Rick Monday was not with the team . He was serving in the military . I was surprised when he was traded to the Cubs , but Ken Holtzman was worth it ! ( rest in peace )
I happen to live in Los Angeles California and two of my sisters were at that very game. My memory is not to clear but I think at the time the local news had reported they were protesting the fact that the government of the USA had taken land away from Mexico. For people who don’t live in California they might not know that before the gold rush of 1849 California as well as some other states in the south west used to be a part of Mexico. I was just a child at the time and normally I did not watch the news, but when my sisters returned home from that game and said what had happened I watched the news with my family. I just remember that the reason given for the protest was something that occurred before even any of my grandparents were born and was considered ridiculous by my father.
found this after donating to the UNC boys that protected the flag in Chapel Hill. They referenced Rick Monday on their the supporters gofund me page. I didn't even know about this patriot.
Two of my sisters were in the stands that day at Dodgers Stadium. They could not remember which team won or what the final score was but both of them remembered Rick Monday’s historic play. And like the clip shows everyone gave him a standing ovation.
My memory is a little bit foggy but I think that the news at the time said something about how they were protesting the fact that the government of the USA took land away from Mexico or something. For people who don’t live in the state of California they might not know that before the gold rush of 1849 California was a part of Mexico.
Niiiice. You just massively upgraded both your air and ground game. Hines was the greatest blocker at that position ever, period. Jerome Bettis favorite blocker? Hines. "If it was gap choice, I looked for H and went there. He always had his guy." Your receivers will be the most well rounded in the country. He's that dude.
Hi sir, I was watching videos on RU-vid when I saw your channel. I really like your video content. But as a RU-vid expert, I noticed one thing: your video views are getting fewer and fewer. Later I researched your channel and I saw your video SEO score is very low . Your video and found that SEO optimization is not done in your videos due to which your videos are not going to your targeted people, your videos are getting less views and channel subscribers are getting less. I can say as a RU-vid expert if you can do channel and video SEO friendly things like tag, hashtag, description, and keyword research then your RU-vid channel and video will grow fast. I think your RU-vid channel will make your dream come true. Thank you
Amusing that coach doesn't mention the ASU player ejection for head contact that was the real reason the game got chippy. Lindenwood finally got tired of dealing with ASU trying to hurt people out there.
