Hi sir, lot of good information thanks . Can I connect a diesel gen and make it to turn on and power the house when delta pro goes low or fully discharge?
@pspt
@pspt 2 месяца назад
Yes… the Ecoflow Smart Home Panel 2 does just that. The panel has two major connection ports 1) for connection to the the utility grid and 2) for connection to a standby generator. The automatic start up of the standby generator, gas or diesel, depends on its manufacture and making sure that it has that function to start up. Once it does that Ecoflow Smart Home Panel 2 will automatically switch over to the standby generator or back to utility which ever you have selected. To find out more about the Ecoflow Smart Home Panel 2 go to this website, bit.ly/4aPDX77 Going to this website has special discounts as well as informative information. To find out more about the Ecoflow Smart Home Panel 2… click on “Product Series” then select Ecoflow Smart Home Panel 2…that page will give you a lot of information that will answer all of your questions about this product. I hope this helps be sure and use this web address as it contains special discounts if you are ordering any of the products. Good luck

@@pspt thanks for your swift response. Can you elaborate more on how the signal to start de stand by gen comes from the Delta battery?
@pspt
@pspt 2 месяца назад
When the standby generator senses the loss of supply power from the Delta battery it will automatically start (if it has that option). The change-over switch on the home power 2 must be selected for the standby generator. The home will experience a momentary loss of power while this happens.

@@pspt ok thanks! Is there a solution for automatically go back to grid when grid power is available? What Im looking is for that triple backup; grid go off , switch to battery , when battery drains go to generator, when grid is back switch to grid and turn off de generator? Or Im being too ambitious?
@pspt
@pspt 2 месяца назад
@@omarpellot2065 Now you're getting into a highly specialized situation...the Home Panel 2 has a manual interlock that must be selected for either grid or standby (diesel) power. You have to choose one or the other for safety reasons. It is a manual interlock that is a break before make condition that Will not allow power to be switched back into the grid from auxiliary power sources.

All you need to know about hysteresis is the thinner the loop the less the energy loss, due to heat. Is there a manufacturer of silicon steel alloys, for power transformer cores that publishes a datasheet with a hysteresis cure, or plot? Don't think so.

I am seeing users on reddit having problems with the SHP 2 reliability and service. relay failures and error messages that shut down the panel with long delays in getting service. Is there a way to setup these smart panels but still be able to use the original subpanel without any delays?
@pspt
@pspt 2 месяца назад
The quick answer is yes absolutely. When connecting the smart home panel 2, the load wire connections can be made in the existing panel and the load breakers that were used can be left in place for a quick reconnect if there is trouble. Having said that, all of the breakers in the Smart Home Panel 2 can be manually switched just by toggling the breaker switches. If for some reason that doesn't work (due to a failed breaker etc.), there exists 2 relay switching knobs that can manually switch the main power.

A lot of physicists have produced RU-vid videos in the last 2 years that have disputed the idea that the explanation of electrons pushing electrons along in the wire solves the apparent contradiction between the drift electron speed and the speed of light propagation of electric charge. They all seem to agree that it's the surface charge that is set up at the speed of light which is responsible for the electric forces creating the current.

So the electricity if i am not mistaken, produce the work we want , and return to its neutral state which is ground, which mean zero movement of current and zero kinetic energy is this correct?

I have this system on order and currently waiting for delivery. A question I have that's not been addressed to my satisfaction by EcoFlow support pertains to the 2 transfer switches located near the top of the panel on each phase. Are those mechanically coupled switches that actually change state when operated by hand? My reason for asking is if I move the most critical circuits for my home into this panel and there's a problem with those automated transfer switches, I would be without power for at least the circuits on that phase in the panel. EcoFlow support has told me if they fail their state cannot be changed by manually moving the switches suggesting they are just an electrical switch controlling a relay. Thanks
@pspt
@pspt 3 месяца назад
Hi Robert... The two breakers that you are talking about may be considered transfer switches although they are better described as double pole single throw breakers that bring energy from either the grid to your critical circuits or from another source such as a gas generator. There is one breaker for each supply. For safety reasons, these breakers cannot be switched on both at the same time. In order to prevent this from happening there is a mechanical slider that prevents both from being turned on at the same time but does allow one or the other to be switched on depending on whether you slide it up or down. When both breakers are in the off position the slider is free to move up or down allowing you to turn one or the other on but not both. I hope this answers your question. It is easier to explain if I was allowed to include graphics in this reply but I can only do that with direct mail.

Hi sir, is this ac power frequency dependent or it's irrelevant 🤔
@pspt

The quick answer is frequency is irrelevant. Having said that when considering average power it is usually significant in the realms of the power industry such as utilities where frequency is usually 50 or 60 Hz.

@pspt

@@geoepi321975 I have to apologize in advance, as there is never simple answers to what current is flowing when there is a leak. In order to answer that question a multitude of variables are coming into play... Such as ground resistant, the short to ground resistance, what other potentials might be in play at groundlevel,. Ground fault studies are courses in themselves. Again I apologize for the vague answer but I do not have a simple answer to your question.

Hi can the transformers be separate, or they must have the same cores?
@pspt
@pspt 6 месяцев назад
They can be separate although the only zigzag transformers that I encountered were on the same core. That is they were a transformer bank not individual transformers. However, theoretically you can do this with individual transformers in fact you could use six individual transformers and connect them why zigzag although I've never seen it done but, theoretically it is possible.

This is too reliable, too simple and too safe for American installations. No, they should continue to mess with wire nuts and keep stumbling over loose connections. This is only good for Europe. Any layman could do this very easily. I don't begrudge them such a good solution. Now don't be jealous of that ! Don't believe me and try it yourself !

at 32:05, the equations are messed up. ie, to work out the +ve seq comp, you need to rotate by 0, 120 and 240
@pspt
@pspt 2 года назад
The equations are not messed up...each component has an A, B & C phase. The Positive sequence A, B & C phases are separated by 120 degrees as the Negative sequence A, B & C phases are separated by 120 degrees. The 0 sequence A, B & C phases are in phase with each other. The A phases of each component will vary relative to each other as do the B & C phases of each component.
