did you see momma's footwork around that baby, A domestic horse would have stepped all over it? Hell, they step on newborns without drama. Not sure why but wild horses have better foot placement control.
The way the male got no where and just got kicked(but also a foal and a mom should never be going through that I feel so bad rn also the way the male of the herd was like”GET OUT OF HERE U DONT HURT MY FOALS OR MARES”is just so good
i know horse kicks are strong but the impact sound of her hooves against those stallions' ribs, flanks, necks, and shoulders really puts into perspective just how strong they are across their entire body! the stallions seemed to go "oof! jeez you're playing hard to get!" instead of "OUF! YOU BROKE MY ENTIRE BODY!"
What a mother's love will do for her foal. There were points when I got concerned for the foal. The fight between the mare and bachelor stallions was very intense. I'm so happy for the mare and her foal that they got reunited with the band.
What a good mother, putting herself between the foal and the stallions as much as possibe. I wonder if that baby or mother is still roaming the Montana mountains today july, 6 2024.
@@stevebennett9839 I am told and have seen photos within last year of the foal who is now a stallion with his own band of horses including mare(s) and foal(s) of his own.
The mother usually leaves on her own to give birth. He had probably just found her. I am sorry you had to experience what you did but not everyone is the same.
What an amazing and fierce mother. I was wondering where her herd was and finally they showed up and Auntie started taking names while her own baby was with. It's nature but oh so hard to watch sometimes. 😊
Way to go momma! No one is getting near her baby! But also I love that the first video back from with the herd -baby takes a tumble. Getting jostled around by rogues? No big deal! Walking around on your own?? That’s a whole other story lol
You gotta think about what an animal would want. horses aren’t carnivores so they don’t want to eat the baby, they wanted to steal the mare. Perhaps kill the foal because it isn’t their own.
