Hello! We’re Chris and Ellen. We travel the world asking ourselves one question: Is there a better way to live?
So far we have fallen down a mountain in Alaska, eaten too much gelato in Tuscany, learned philosophy in Cambridge, embarrassed ourselves learning French, talked politics with a party leader in Germany, road-tripped all across the US, and more.
Our passion for travel and love for exploring new cultures is contagious. We love sharing the destinations we visit in fun videos and blog posts to teach and inspire you to follow your travel dreams.
SUBSCRIBE for wanderlust, inspiration, and a touch of philosophy. We upload new videos once a week.
Excellent video, covers important info without endless bla bla bla. The maps pinpointing specific areas and the lines indicating the trajectory make it even better and useful. I give a 10/10 😊
4 ans après pareil pour moi, ( algorithme de la sncf )😉typical french joke . Chers amis américains bienvenus en Normandie bienvenus en France . J’espère que tout va bien pour vous !
Well these are the houses in Connecticut that inspired the set and where Amy Sherman Palladino wrote part of the story. But you can take a Warner Bros studio tour in LA to see the actual house it was filmed in.
Thanks! That’s actually a good idea but we usually stay out of sports in Europe 😅 I heard you interviewed the Earful Tour podcast guy we mentioned! Can I find that on your channel here under a certain title?
Ummmm we’re obsessed with this video! 😮 It felt like we were hanging out with you in Paris. Well done. 👏🏻👏🏻 Infotainment at its finest! Also, we just like to smile, smiling’s our favorite. 😭😅
This video was so beautifully done!!- so many views of Paris interspersed with closeups of delicious pastries and practical tips! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Can’t wait to go back!!!❤
I already spent 40 euros for a hostel room like an idiot. Arrived at 3AM by bus from London I though it would be dangerous at night, but then I realized that people are sleeping everywhere and it is pretty safe. If it is not raining and no laptop or valuables, that is a good option.
This was so well done!! We loved it!! We want to go to Paris with you guys, you definitely know your way around! I totally vibe with Chris’ punny jokes (inseine!! 🤣) and we love the Chris LaRue signature 360 camera spin at the Eiffel Tower in the end! 🎬
Wonderful, positive vibes in this video. You guys have a very open, humble and intelligent attitude. Your sandwiches look great - and I agree: adding butter is definitely a must! Welcome to France, guys. PS: I think I just fell in love with Hector… 😀
I am French and I can tell you that if the French do not speak English it is above all because they do not know English. Especially in country villages...
💯 and that is very refreshing to find. If everyone speaks English in a foreign country, you’re likely in a tourist zone. Once you get to where people don’t speak English, you (from the traveler’s perspective) are actually in a foreign land (for many cases, not all)
@@ChrisandEllen Well, you visited one of the most destroyed areas of D Day , since I believe even phosphorus bombs were dropped on Saint Lo, I knew someone from the town who was the witness of all this. Next Tim St MALO !!!
2024 Update: Turns out, renovating a house is hard enough without filming it and we don’t enjoy it! 😂 Also, it takes up a lot more time than we thought so that’s why there’s one podcast episode but we’re open to maybe more? We’ll see… As for the thoughtful travel guides, it was a good idea in theory. Again, we’ll see! At least we’re back to traveling, done with renovations and SO happy to be posting some more travel videos for you! Thanks for following + if you’ve found and watched this video, you’re a true fan ❤
@@ChrisandEllen The mystery of the YT algorithm... It was in my recommendations on the latest Our French Chateau video. I'll now dig into your video vault 👀
At the time, we were going to Normandy from living in LA. We ended up moving to Tulsa after our travels that started in Normandy 😊 It’s been a roundabout journey 😆
I'm glad that you moved to France. I'm proud to be French. I like USA for all the good one could find there. Therefore, I'm sure you could find safe and quiet places in USA too. No?
