Hello everyone welcome to my channel!! Things that I will be covering is camera reviews, tutorials and the occasional vlog!! I hope you guys enjoy the content.
Awesome to hear your experience with the camera has been good. I’ve been on an a6000 for the longest time and recently got more into making RU-vid videos to learn. It’s a big jump but definitely thinking about the fx30. 1 camera and done kinda! The zve10ii looks awesome but with the fx30 and ibis, shooting doc style stuff will be way more fun! Thanks for sharing!
I had the R and it seemed like it was so long ago. 2018 isn't that long ago but I remember all the RU-vidrs like Potato Jet going from Sony over the R at some point. I now have the R6 II and it's almost perfect (just with it had 4K 120 with a crop maybe). I almost wonder if the 1080 on the R was better than the newer cams.
I think the 1080 was better on the R. I previously had the R6 before going to my fx30. I tried shooting in 1080 on it and it just didn’t look the same IMO. Maybe cause the R had the All-I option idk.
You can control the aperture, iso everything if you use a 3rd party app like momentapp or apps like it .. but I just use my phone as the raw … I use pp7 for the zv1 .. takes a bit to color correct but still usable … I’m choosing the zv1 all day every day
The concept is ridiculous. The ZV-1 blows way the phone in every aspect with the exception of built in image processing which actually is more hinderance than help. The ZV-1 can actually shoot raw photos. The ZV-1 has APETURE blades! It can shoot 4k video. Phones do absolutely nothing to stimulate me.
Got one a while ago just to check out what it is like. Went out to a concert to test it and was blown away. Built like tank, relatively inexpensive and kicked ass in my use.
For the 35-150mm I've seen where people have applied tape (gaffe or other) vertically along the barrel to add width and friction cutting down on lens creep.
A comparison of this to the sigma art 24-70 would be awesome! I personally went with the 28-70 sigma because of the significant weight savings and how compact the lens is!
*I love my FX30, I traded in my a6400 and ZV-1 to get this because it's all video w/o photo which is why I bought it. I just love the rigging option for this camera*
I own a Sony ZV-1 and I believe that cameras are not dead. My main reason for this is the battery. Unlike phone batteries which are not interchangeable, camera batteries can be easily replaced when they run out of power. Therefore, cameras have a longer lifespan. There are one-inch sensor phones out there, not in the USA but outside of the USA. As you already know that is what my channel is about mobile tech.
Yeah I agree with everything you said. I like smartphone cameras and I use them a lot but if I have the choice I’ll always lean towards a dedicated camera.
I'm going to infuse vlogging with my niche of tech review. It is called a day in the life of the product or content creator. That is what I'm starting this weekend. One video per week is what I have in mind. Quality over quantity is my goal for this year. One more good luck with vlogging 365 days.
Great stuff Lee! I'm enjoying learning more about this camera, because I don't know anything about it. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you do with it in the future! Hope you are doing well out there, have a great rest of the week!
Thank you Paul, yeah I’m learning a lot as I go as well. Doing good enjoying the nice weather before the heat comes back. I hope you’re doing well out there. Take care sir!
About to make the switch, coming from the R6 II. I’ve been disappointed by the dynamic range and banding from some shooting situations; Really hoping the FX30 fares better for me in those scenarios.
I can definitely say the dynamic range has been an improvement from my R6. Even in S-cinetone there’s good dynamic range. As far as banding I didn’t notice much with the R6 and I haven’t noticed any with the FX30 to this point.
Im biased but I love the way Sony camera bodies look compared to Nikon or Canon - definitely sexier looking builds. The sound on this one was definitely not as good as your normal videos. I had to really turn up the volume on the TV to hear you and there was a bit of a buzzing early on in the video. The soubd did get better towards the end. Anyway glad you are enjoying the Sony! Hope you guys are doing well out there, have a great rest of the week!
lol hey we all got our biases I do love the build of the new canon mirror less system but I’m really liking the build of this FX30. Yeah I’m not sure what happened this time around I was a little disappointed on how the audio came out. But I appreciate you checking it out as always sir. Take care out there, have a good week.
