I am the Program Coordinator for the Master of Science in Business Analytics and Assistant Professor of Business Analytics and Management Information Systems at Governors State University with experience teaching database management, data analytics, computer programming (Java, C#, Python), social network analysis, systems analysis and design, operations management, and introductory information systems. I received a PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona in 2014 and received a patent as part of my dissertation work to design and implement a system that produces optimal long distance bicycle tour routes of minimal perceived exertion. This channel is designed to support my students' learning and it is my hope that it may also help you in your quest to learn more about information systems topics.
Thanks for sharing so generously. Also, you have great pace and flow of word and this even at 1.25x which makes for a vey enjoyable and easy to digest experience.
Thank you so much. I have a midterm in an hour on these topics in databases. My professor explained the theory behind disjoint and overlapping but did not show us how to show this in LucidChart. This was exactly what I needed to know! You're awesome.
A bit late, but if you right click on your table (under your schemas windows) you should see Table Import Data Wizard. Select that and go forward till the end. If you had created table with sufficient and ordered column, you wont need to change anything. Cheers
Thx! I tried your process with another example, and it works excellently. But when I go back to the MySQL Workbench main screen, and I try to enter values for the two foreign keys in the "connecting table", there is no constraint showing. I had expected something like a dropdown menu with only the values you can choose from. It's only when I enter a value that doesn't exist and then click "apply" that Workbench starts to yell at me. Does Workbench feature such a dropdown menu (or any other value constraint displayer)?
Katherine, kudos to you for this excellent video. Undoubtedly the best tutorial I have found on RU-vid for MySQL and Workbench. I have learned so much here. I didn't even know the “back tick”; a small part of the tutorial but very useful to know. I am surprised that your Subscriptions are not in the tens of thousands.
