So with the reed valve could you add windows to the piston? Or do you think that would make the small turbo even smaller? I’m still learning these spark plug 2-strokes.
70-90 durometer will work better. Buna N is the cheapest of the rubber that will work with fuel/chemicals. Viton is the best, followed by silicone rubber.
@@SawmodsI know that’s how a 4 stroke benefits, but how well will it work out with your 2 stroke seeing as how the seals “might not” last past a few cuts before you end up with some leaking that MIGHT BE catastrophic in the end, or am I thinking incorrectly?
I love the way the MS 400s sound. Of course, I grabbed a few of the hardest pieces of hedge out of my wood pile that were probably in there.Lol that is a new Stihl rs chain. That shit is ridiculously hard
I know this is just a fun project but don’t discount the information you’re gathering. I’ve actually thought about practical forced air induction on a chainsaw years ago when we lived at almost 4,000 feet and I did a lot of chainsaw work above 6,500 foot elevation. I messed around with Tesla turbines for fun just to see what they can do and they actually work pretty well. My idea was a a belt drive Tesla turbine for altitude compensation and possibly even more power. When I first read about the 500i my first thought was a Tesla turbine. I’m thinking a Tesla turbine might actually be small and lightweight enough that it could work for a daily use felling saw and possibly last longer than a ported saw. Or maybe a lightly ported 261 with a Tesla turbine that puts out 8 or 10 hp and just rebuild it twice a year. Our 261 is a good 5lbs lighter than our 500i.
4:07 lol. Yeah I prefer antileg on all my saws but it doesn’t matter much on the string trimmer’s.😂 That would be something to see! What a fun project!
