Absolutely my friend! Optimism! Hoping I can steer clear of toxicity with what I make here, be that positive or negative toxicity! Don't get me wrong though, deep down I do hope this will be the greatest game ever to release in history. 👀 We shall see.
im saddened there is not an indication of character choices... no whiff of mouldy dog either.....considering theyve had us on tenterhooks for more than half a decade a bit more info would be nice.. im keen for a release but home and character development are a must for replay ability for me.. i probably wouldnt care as much about the plot as these things... i dont see how they can change the town name... it was in fable 3 which is later than this is that lena... i was going with theresa
Yes, I'm eager for more info on these topics too! 'Lena' is just a placeholder name I chose due to who I believe the Voice Actress to be, could well be Theresa for all we know, but I'm not going to commit to that just yet!
The WWAW shoutout had me sending shockwaves from how fast I hit that subscribe button. Hype season is always better with a detail-oriented, albeit somewhat crazy, guide.
At 5:23 in that part of the new trailer, I don't see anyone talking about it but I noticed that our character seems to be limping, which if true is very interesting, it does sound cool to have the hero reacting to damage or getting tired, what do you think?
My guess is that PG also want to give players a freedom with CC like what they did with the FH series. But they save it for future titles because the studio wanna a fixed MC for the reboot just like the 1st game. At least the impression is so far she isn't as annoying as Aloy (talking too much)
Nice thought! It could indeed be a 'see how this goes and improve upon it for Fable II 2' kind of plan, but like you say this time we're also voiced, which is a hit or miss area of it's own. Let's hope for the best 🤞
Many feel the same way, I personally won't be too bothered by the change unless it lowers the quality of the game, but what we've seen so far is graphically superb! Playground as a studio are rather adept at realism 👌
13:24 something you may have missed, if you look at all of the lights and features of the house that the balverine is on while the hero approaches it during that part in the 2023 trailer, and compare it to the house in the dark at 12:04 you'll find that it's actually the same house. It also looks like it's the sheriff guy there as well, so him being in a cave with a balverine probably is part of the same quest since he's at the same house.
Well well well would you look at that! If that's the case we can assume the sheriff is the sheriff of Oakfield, which would in turn allow us to place the tavern scene in the same town of Oakfield! Lovely puzzle piece right there!
My theory, is that it release early in 2025 for many reasons, 1-1-2025 is playground studio 15th anniversary, and taken into account for all other games in 2025 like Monster Hunter Wilds, Doom Dark Age, and GTA6. All of these franchise are now to older and newer gamers but we haven't seen a fable game true full releases since xbox 360. To factor the effect of covid delays they probably had a original release window September, 2024 to make the 20th anniversary of the first Fable game but now is has a 2025 release window we are probably going to get more info at gamescon 2024 next month in August.
I had made a post on the Fable subreddit pointing out the bow, but it didn't really seem to get to anyone. I do hope we still have weapon equipment, but it makes me believe we may not even have swords as equipment, let alone hammers or anything in-between.
Yes and the extreme focus on that one specific hero sword we've been holding the whole time, I can see your point completely. Still I too hope for the choice of equipment!
God, I would be SO HAPPY if Lena Headey voices the main antagonist. Cersei is my favourite villain of all time, but...I just don't hear her voice in the trailer? It has similar tone to it, but it sounds too young for Lena. Her voice is more deep, but I REALLY hope you're right.
Yes indeed, she's absolutely brilliant! Are you trying to tell me that my magical brainwashing background music hasn't worked on you? 🤔 I'll up the volume next time!
I have a theory, i think that Leena the antagonist is the mother of the hero of the First Fable! She have red robes and would be a really great plot twist to the history
Could you do a deep dive on the Kingdom come deliverance 2 trailers? This was a really good deep dive I was very impressed with all the things you saw and I didn't
My friend thank you so much for your kind words! Unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about those games, and I could only make this video with so much care due to my passion towards Fable. I'm going to have to pass the baton onto someone else for that one... Perhaps, to you 👀
Incredible analysis! I think you are absolutely right about the Character Creator, and I think most fans will not be disappointed... But Xbox haters and generally whiny gamers are going to make a big stink about it just so they can dog on Xbox
Thankyou! The level of detail makes up for no creation imo, You know haters will hate and it's all a matter of preference at the end of the day, all we can do is enjoy ourselves!
Basically every personality online missed that the narration wasnt about the main character (revealed at the end) which kind of baffled me cuz i know nothing about fable and i thought it was kind of obvious
Yesss love to see extremely deep analysis's of short trailers like this lol. Obviously things are bound to change but these trailers seem to be good for reading into/giving thoughts on what you'd like to hope for for the game. Much prefer vids like this rather than negative doom posting as is common when you look up the Fable reboot lol. Nice commentary too, will be keeping an eye on you for future content!
Absolutely! I'm looking to nurture positivity here! I'm unbelievably chuffed with the responses so far. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the comment!
Your point about not having character customization hurts me, because I love CC in games. But as a fellow developer I see how making CC to work with those animations would be hard so yeah, it will be a set character. I just wish we can pick between girl and boy. Don't get me wrong, I'll play this regardless. But Fable series really need a hit and Incel sales matters too.
Indeed, I'm the same, I've spent more time in CC than I have in the actual game on multiple occasions lol But yeah, I can't imagine them not having a choice of character at the start, fingers crossed 🤞
@@MurgosBeard I think the fact that the main character portrayed in these vids is a little boyish looking, as well as the actress that players her really lends to the possibility of playing as either a boy or a girl. Change the hair and tweak the body structure, and it's easily a girlish-boy.
Nicely done mate! I knew about the first sign post but not the second. I heard rumours about it but thought it was fibs but you pointed out which surprised me! Here hoping property management is in the game.
I love wife wants a wizard!! Watching this gave me those vibes long before you said anything about him. Killer video, I'm subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your coverage on this game!
Loved the video, I'm glad that housing is back. One thing I think the Humphrey trailer hinted at also is the combat abilities being structured like in previous fable games with 3 categories strength, will and skill. I say this because the trailer showcases back to back three combat ability that fit in those categories. The first one with the hilt attack being strength ability like the charged attacks of fable 2 & 3. Then you have an obvious will ability. I believe the third one where she throws back the bolt after catching it mid air is a skill ability, the same way dodging was a skill ability in fable 2. Anyway that's my 2 cents on them hinting at that.
That would be very cool! I am hoping the xp and skill system is similar in some regard (instead of a standard level up system we see in most games these days), well just have to wait and see.
Maybe I missed it... But did you mention where in the timeline you think this game sits? My wife noted the architecture being close to 2 as well and thinks this is after 1, but before 2. Additionally since the hero's guild seems empty other than Humphrey, it seems to imply this is after the fall of heros. I'm not so sure. Giants, giant toads, no demon doors. I think it could be after three. With there having been some Ragnarok event, or a rejection writ large by the people of Albion. Thoughts?
I did not, I was going to comment on it looking very Dark Ages due to weapons clothing and housing styles but that time period is just way too big to pinpoint a specific target, and it's a fantasy game so historical accuracy doesn't really matter too much lol. As for previous games, you're right it does feel 1.5 ish for those exact reasons 🤔 But then again it's a complete reboot, so we also have to think it has its own timeline all together.
@@MurgosBeard Also, the fact that there are no guns would, in theory, set this before 2. So often with sword games, the inclusion of firearms will ruin the dynamic and expedite the extinction of said sword game. Fable 2 had a nifty shotgun that I used more often than melee or magic... and then 3 went full blown into firearms and just cannibalized the other 2 aspects for so many players. Outside of Fable, you can see how guns in assassins creed eventually led to sword and hidden blade not being as viable as an option. It's a very tricky road to go down once you start including firearms. Glad to see only melee here, and I LOVE your point of the magic bow. It fits perfectly with the magic spell used to lift the hobs up off the ground and is more of an all in one combo spell.
@@CatDadGamer Fantastic point, I too did many a gun only Fable 2 playthroughs! Agreed, hoping this game will have a beautifully well rounded combat system which encourages all kinds of combinations! Can't wait to see more
The flipped around sword kill is half-swording or a Mordhau strike and one would definitely want gloves. I'm taking this information for other nerds who crowed happily about this elsewhere.
10:53 fun fact! this technique has historical precedence. swords don't really cut with just direct pressure on the outside of the blade, rather along the blade. Not that it was common when stabbing him would have been more efficient, but it was a done thing.
