Big fan of RPGs, roguelikes and platformers, also like Yu-Gi-Oh! and I am open to learn about every TCG in existence. On this channel I will mostly be doing challenges from time to time, I also stream stuff on Twitch, mostly what you don't see here. Pardon my weird English, I am Italian.
Try four Black Mages. Granted Nuke helps, but not having any healing spells makes the game incredibly more difficult. Four Thieves would probably be the hardest to deal with. On the NES.
It took me until the final boss to realize that haste and protect stack, and I found it out of desperation because my characters were under-leveled and I refused to go back and grind. Thankfully, I beat it! It feels like more of an accomplishment when the odds are so against you
1:27 Where is the cat claw from the mountain city? Can’t remember it’s name. The place you can only reach with the airship that sells level 8 magic and the final buyable stuff? Or is that only the black wizard?
Well done! It's a shame black mage becomes so weak late game. They are only worth to buff the warrior/ninja/monks of the party... That's why I usually go Red Mage instead 😅
This is about a billion times easier in the pixel remasters. Why, you ask? Because SquareEnix added ethers and phoenix downs to the game. Originally, there was no way to revive a downed party member, or restore spell charges, without going to a town. The white mage eventually could get life spells, but obviously that doesn't apply to this challenge. The pixel remaster also has much better healing items than the original game. Imagine trying to do this without all the modern conveniences added.
Ive beaten all the singie player FFs except part 1 Can't beat the final boss. I wasn't prepared when I got to the point of no return and by the time I get to that brutal dungeon I mever have enougj gas left in the tank. But I'm about to try it again in a few days after I finish beating part 4 for the 4th time
I still prefer calling the mindflayer-kin in Marsh Cave "Wizards" - I like the idea that they're evil wizards but don't have any good combat spells so they just wail on you using their (presumably enchanted) staves and wear protective robes.
On all ports you can farm the pisco demon marsh cave boss for exp just move off encounter square and then move back on repeat for tons of GP and EXP makes Elfheim grind super fast
