I’m glad someone appreciates it as much as you do. There’s for some dumb reason always been people trying to bring politics into X’s art to keep songs like this from releasing. Whether it’s some old lil nas X tweet or trying to say the person who makes millions from X’s estate somehow needs “more” money and that’s why they are dropping more music. I think the industry is creating these narratives to tarnish X’s legacy so he doesn’t continue to steal streams from the artists they fully own. Perhaps since X was also imo the first artist to take a full 100% anti - industry approach to his music even after his deal with empire. I think the last reason people got mad at the new X song was absolutely contrived with the fabrication of a false narrative deliberately disseminated in a strategic fashion so that the algorithm ran with it and the mindless media-brainwashed slaves eat it up and act like it’s the new “based” take. So what if Cleo makes more money? Is that not what X would’ve wanted? I swear people don’t even know what they’re mad about they just want a reason to be mad.
