Man sorry but whoever sent you to service crane without proper tools and training is crazy. Wire rope replacement is quicker than brake replacement when you have training and tools available. Have a great day

Looks like you lack some major training. Instead of adjusting limit switch, just before reaching limit end, meaning few centimiteres earlier, you just take limit switch out , and it will allow you to continue spinning. Before continuing with spinning, use measuring tape to measure distance from bottom flange to the hook, write it down, so when new rope is installed you know where to return limit switch. two medium sized terminal screwdrivers works for me. Safety glasses on of course ;)
