Hi and welcome to John's Garage. I hope to give people in Ireland and beyond an insight into what a normal Joe Soap, me, thinks about various different sports and classic cars. In every episode I'll take a viewers car for a drive and give you some insight into what it's like.
Yeah between the earlier 'D8' and later 'D9', Peugeot gave the engine to Porsche to play with. The result? 194bhp > 210bhp. There's pros and cons to each of these but when the bodywork looks like it does, engine choice doesn't really matter :D Looking under the bonnet of that one, it may actually be a D8.5....
Great little car, and great owner! I always like it when the owner can tell you what it's really like. Just discovered your channel, and i subscribed. Thanks for an entertaining ride in this amazing 7
Use my 190E 2.3 as my daily driver- absolutely better than any newer car. Comfort is next level and parts are not expensive. Never seen reliability at this level, very impressive ❤
So my grandpa had this one, then my dad bought it from him and he is giving it to me after some repairs. sounds like it's gonna be pretty nice for a first car haha.
12 / 13 ish year ones have the electric handbrake nonsense that takes the shine off them. When those go south, its an utter pita & gets spendy. They also like injectors, which is no big deal - but the handbrake issue is a proper fly in-the-ointment.
Thanks Loads. I think the design is great. I want to own one. I woud like to meet the designer: a bit strange and a bit quirky but in a depression Britain what do you expect. I'm 93 and I smiled broadly during the entire show. Love it. Compare it to the fascist VW: It is a bit of fresh air and British freedom. I went to school in G.B. and hitchiked all around the country and drove in morew than one Austin. Especially remember a Butchers's van with the butcher and his wife out for a holiday. Because my Dad was a butcher in Windsor Locks CT and we had Chevvy delivery vans that we boys used on dates.
super car for peanuts... Rebuilt mine and used for many years without much to worry about. Changed to an M100 Elan with soft top but only two seats. Both fast and roadholding is outstanding.
I have the older Avensis, the T25 hatchback with 1.8 petrol auto. It's comfortable, spacious, quiet, and just goes. I love it, because whenever you need a car and no matter what you throw at it, it's the car you need. And that is ultimately the best thing a car can be. Perfect.
The 760 did not get more powerful. It actually got less powerful in 1988 when I catalytic converter was added I had a 19 9760 I need that 147 hp‘s and it drank a huge amount of gasoline.
1989 GLE needs to court to get it has loads of chrome outside more than the GL and it has him if the first Marie chose to all the luxury equipment that you can get them at 7:60 and the whole bodies galvanized in 1990 the whole model became uglier with that new front end so yeah and 1989 GLEU still want to get to get
I And where do you get your fuel average from? It seems like you have them for the seven 6740 takes about Sierra pointe 8 L per one proton kilometers so that’s pretty good. t was more like that the 850 got the 760s in theaters at 9:40 got the interior from I mean the 940 got the 740 interior and the 960 got the 760 interior while we were having so many errors. I am a huge Volvo nurse from Sweden so I noticed his things are really unprofessional.
You almost have to consider the possibility that every single car will start to look more and more charismatic and charming once it gets through the 15 years or so of looking dated. Makes you look at the current cars and cars of 10 years ago or so and wonder. My dad had three successive Renault 21 Savanna estates from the late 80s into the mid 90s and I have a real affection for them. Thanks for sharing this. Subscribed!
Эта машина стала культовой даже в России . Я её себе купил в 2006 м не потому , что она была дешевле других , а потому что она мне очень понравилась ! Катаюсь до сих пор и очень доволен !
As a 2.0 phase 3 GTV owner I have to admit I'm still wanting to scratch the Busso itch even though I found a tidy, well maintained example, nothings missing, everything works and it's a total pleasure to drive. This one looks awesome in the Azzurro Nuvola and the Alfaholics treatment no doubt makes it even more special. What a thing!
When I turned 16 my 1st bike was a Honda c200 (1965 model) . It was a great little bike. I am now in my 60s & I have just purchased another one (1965 model). Drain the old oil from the engine & refill with new oil before you try to start the engine.Regards Ian (Carlisle, England)
68 KF 57 was used by 104 REGT RA (V) and then later 37 SIG REGT. So UK based with no deployment. In to service 1986 and cast quite late in 2010 from storage.
The L85 rack is not pointing up for safety, as any soldier stowing a loaded rifle would be on a serious charge! It is the mk2 mount area, originally being one on the passenger floor to dash and one horizontally on the bulkhead behind the seats. The Wolf has them between the seats also but higher mounted. The trailer would have been a 3/4 ton trailer, by Sankey, or Bradley, etc. The Penman is much newer having arrived around 2004 designed for the Wolf, this 90 Land Rover would have been cast from service before the Penman was made.
If you want a cheap 90s Honda civic with a manual transmission just buy you a automatic since those are cheaper and nobody wants them and easier to find unmolested cause nobody wanted to mod a automatic honda civic or something similar to it like jntegras back then cause they was slow and expensive back in late 90s to early 2000s to swap from auto to manual. Now you just buy a auto and swap it to manual and boom manual trans civic wery easy to do. We use to turn autos into manuals all the. Time when i was 10 racing fwd 4 cylinder class back in 2002 -2005. And trust me you can also use different trans between covics and integras and they will bolt up to each other and make more lower rpm torque and different gear ratios ect. Even the 90s saturns will out run a stock 90s honda civic all day long so those are over looked cars and very cheap to pick up a nice one thats two door and manual for very cheap and they have tons of mods and tunes and aftermarket parts for those as well
I ise to make fun of them when in highschool at the Civic boys cause they was wanting to be like out of the movie fast and furious 1,2& tokyo drift. I did grow up racing asphalt oval track cars and tbh my first oval track car was a 92 chevy caviler and it would put run all the 90s civics and this was backnin 03 and saturns the 2 door ones fron 90s also kileed the covics power wise and habdeling wise but now all you see is integras civics and corollas camrys and mazdas for that 4 cylinder fwd class. I race rear wheel drive 800 hp latemodels now. But in ealry 2000s i had 3 civics for oval racing, cavilers and 2 saturns i went through in the 3 years i raced thst class and now i wosh i jad t gutted out and ruined the hatch back and coupe civics i had cause they was in mint condition before we built them into racecars. We was supposed to be stock and no motor mods but we did head work and tuned them and would do motor swaps ect cause some motors from other cars are the same motor for like the caviler but they made them a little faster and just tons of little stuff we did and on the dyno my civic made 210 fwhp which was nuts but nevwr got disqualified gor cheating jist a really well built motor and read betwen the lines of the rules wish i had those 3 civics bow as street/track day cars. They are now very cheap to mod and build the motor and make tons of power for cheap prices. If you want a cheap Honda civic with a manual transmission just buy you a automatic since those are cheaper and nobody wants them and easier to find unmolested cause nobody wanted to mod a automatic honda civic or something similar to it like jntegras back then cause they was slow and expensive back in late 90s to early 2000s to swap from auto to manual. I think the golden era for German Cars (Mercedes & BMW) was from 1985 to 1995, I was lucky to find a black E34 525i 1995 with M50 straight 2.5L engine, I bought it without any hesitation as I believe it resembles the ultimate driving machine in its essence form, I wish I could find the 530i version which comes with 3L V8 engine but it is difficult to find.
Still got my diablo red 406 coupe V6 manual and it's still an absolute joy to drive... It now has 110k and it drives the same way it did when i first bought it in Feb 2007... ❤️😎
