so, I just watched a video about a secret that the Tilta Mirage matte box has, and I wonder if this has it as well. The variable ND should, in theory, at its lowest setting, be able to be spun to a position that functions as a polarizer, and then you should be able to increase the strength of the ND from there.
@@FilmscapeVisuals bought one recon yesterday. Haida mist can fit (mist to the lens then recon vnd). Interesting: i can screw on the Recon VND to the mistt but not into the clear adapter...
the biggest advantage for this mattbox is probably smallsize，I Got base camp and tilta mirrage， both r way better system than recon.but I am building a small r&g system, that already have poco pl to e rare vnd system, I only need a small size good quality mattbox, and recon fits in this needs, But saddly my main lens is atlas mercury set, which got no thread at all, lol, But I'm still consider recon as an really good pure mattbox without it's filter vnd system when I'm using other small lens with thread
Sell it and get the BaseCamp which has Polarizer. I would like to add, the knob on the top, should be able to reposition itself, like most film equipment knobs, pull, reposition, done.
